FAQs

How will therapy make me feel?Therapy is a very personal process. Sometimes it is necessary to talk about painful feelings or difficult decisions, so you may go through a period of feeling worse than when you started. However, therapy should enable you to feel better in the long run.

What qualifications do you have?

PG Cert Pastoral Counselling, 2006; Dip Pastoral Counselling, 2008; Counselling for Human Potential, 2005; Initial Cert Pastoral Counselling Skills, 2005; Couple and Family Counselling Skills, 2009; Level 5 Certificate in CBT Skills and Theory, 2010; PG Cert. in Counselling Supervision 2011

How much will it cost?

My usual fee for counselling is £35.00 per session, although I am flexible and will take into account the personal circumstances of any client which we can discuss. I do offer discounts for Counselling Students seeking Therapy or Supervision.

How many sessions will I need?

Every individual is unique and therefore there is not a fixed number of sessions that can be determined. We will initially agree a number of sessions, for example 6, and then review this as we go along.

What is Therapy and Counselling?

Therapy offers you a safe, confidential space to talk about your life and anything that may be confusing, painful or uncomfortable. It allows you to talk with someone who is trained to listen attentively and to help you improve things.
