With a bachelor’s of science degree in political science from Southern Utah University, Steven Montgomery has been involved in politics for more than thirty years and has written prolifically about government, the Constitution, and threats to America’s freedom. He has also been elected a county, state, and national delegate in party politics, and has been a candidate for political office or party office on a number of occasions, including a bid for the state legislature and the U.S. Congress.
Steven’s interest in politics began in 1975 when he attended a seminar sponsored by the organization now known as the National Center for Constitutional Studies. That seminar ignited a passion within him to learn everything he could about the Constitution and its principles.
Steven served as director of research for Constitutional Principles Policy Council (CPPC), now defunct. Steven also is the Senior Editor/Writer of The Constitutional Banner Newsletter, an educational newsletter that explores the substance, meaning, and basic provisions of the Constitution. Steven also writes for LDSFreemen.com and runs this site, the "Perfect Law of Liberty" website, and is a published author of Newsmax.
In addition to his B.S., Steven is a certified paralegal and earned a secondary education certification from the state of Utah. He has taught American National Government, U.S. History, and Political Economy at a private high school in Utah.
