For Writers

For Writers

So many readers are also writers, and two of the main questions I get asked again and again are 1) What is your advice to aspiring writers? and 2) How did you get published?

The answer to question 1 is easy; Keep at it and never give up. It’s going to be a long, hard road to get published but it will all be worth it in the end.

As for question 2, that gets a little tricky. Why? Because the people who ask this question are usually writers themselves, and they are looking for the yellow brick road to becoming pubished. However, what worked for me might not work for them. I submitted to a lot of markets before I was accepted, and I have to shoebox full of rejections to prove it. I worked hard and kept at it, just like the advice in question 1 says. I wrote short stories to develop my craft and used what I learned submitting to short story markets to sell my first book. I can't tell you HOW to get published, because it's different for everyone...

What I can do, though, is share with you the same tools that have helped me.

On the right side of the screen are a list of books that I have accumulated over the years. I have found them to be very handy tools in my journey to become a published author. They are linked to their Amazon page, so that you can read customer feedback and such.

Also, I am always here if you have a question;
