Health care providers play a
pivotal role in educating parents about immunizations, helping them make
informed decisions about immunizations in infants and toddlers, and
teaching them to read and understand the importance of immunization
records. The National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners
(NAPNAP) has developed an educational resource targeted towards parents
that specifically addresses frequently asked immunization questions.
The resource includes streaming videos available for access by
practitioners and parents. Questions regarding combination vaccines,
immunization schedules, parent/child anxiety and common misconceptions
are answered in a conversational setting between parent and health care
provider. NAPNAP invites all health care providers to visit the
Immunization Conversations videos
and share this resource with parents of infants and toddlers.
