Fast and Effective HIIT Cardio Workout

The following is a fast and effective HIIT cardio workout that can be performed anywhere (at any location), for free (at no cost), and with absolutely no training equipment necessary. You can complete as many sets of this workout as you like according to whatever suits your current fitness level and your fitness goals.  

Fast and Effective HIIT Cardio Workout

1. 30 Seconds of High Knees

Jogging in place, raise your knees as high and as intensely as you possibly can trying to touch your chest with your knees. 

2. 30 Seconds of Push-Ups with an Alternating Knee to the Elbow

Do a push-up, then touch one of your knees to your elbow closest to it, bring your foot back down and do another push up; then bring your other knee up to your elbow and touch your elbow again and repeat for 30 seconds. 

3. 30 Seconds of Jumping Lunges

Do a lunge, jump up into the air, switch your stance and then do another jumping lunge with the other leg forward. Repeat this for 30 seconds. 

4. 30 Seconds of Burpees

Squat all the way down as fast as you can then kick your legs back behind you, get into pushup position and then jump back up into standing position. Repeat for 30 seconds. 

Repeat this cycle as many times as it takes for you to get a satisfying cardio workout in. Most people should shoot for at least 3 sets of this cycle with 30 seconds of rest in-between setsbut you can do more or less setsdepending on your current cardio level and your fitness goals. Do all of the exercises as intensely as possible and do not rest in-between exercises, do not rest until you complete the full cycle of exercises. You should only rest about 30 seconds in-between sets. 

Share this workout far and wide. It is a highly effective HIIT workout/HIIT home workout. If you are not already aware HIIT training or High-Intensity Interval Training burns much more calories than conventional moderate intensity steady-state exercise does and it does it in much less time.
