Today we are confronted by signs of turbulence, uncertainty and change across the country and beyond its borders.

The nation and its rulers, the free market, traditional religions, the very infrastructure and monetary system, which have proved adequate for so long, are showing unmistakable signs of strain as it struggle to deal with the new realities of a profoundly inter-connected society and a struggle for equal rights.

All are suffering from a lack of vision. In fact, the crisis we face can only be described as spiritual, so far-reaching are its implications.

Africans are being called upon to mobilize their deepest resources of heart and mind, to respond to an era of growing integration and synthesis.

Can we collectively learn to set aside, once and for all, the barriers in consciousness which have until now separated nationalities, religions, and social classes from one another, and learn to work as one nation and humanity?

The future of Africa will be determined by our efforts towards a deepened understanding of the basic problems underlying our present crisis, so we can contribute effectively to the transition into a new civilization and consciousness.

The challenge of establishing right human relationships between peoples and nationalities should be of paramount concern to the thinkers, who are the hope of the future. Only they, in their millions, can create the enlightened public opinion that will turn the tide of events.

It is hoped that these web pages will bring a renewed understanding to the people of goodwill regarding the problems of war, violence unrest and intolerance between races in South Africa, Africa and the world.

This website is narrowly based on the book written by Alice Bailey, in 1947, just prior to the end of the last world war.

So much in the book is applicable to the situations brewing in Africa from south to north, that in some instances nearly whole pages can be applied to the modern situation.

During the war that ended in 1945, information traveled much slower.   Weapons of war did not have the destructive power of today.   People were not as mentally orientated as today.  Satellite communication and space travel is today a reality.

We also have the history of the outcome of the last world war that can serve as a teacher and a warning.

We have not eradicated poverty and suffering.

There are new concerns today, relating to global warming and the exploitation and destruction of natural resources, as humanity takes the first steps towards earth stewardship.

Africans are yet to regulate the birthrate of people so that all children receive food and education according to their need.

This website intends to use the study course Problems of Humanity, written by Alice A. Bailey just before the end of the last world war, for its major inspiration. Much of the work, if applicable may nearly directly come from that book. The study course, based on the original work, consists of 7 booklets printed by World Goodwill which are freely available for individual and group study. The 7 booklets are:

Set 1. Introduction;

Set 2. The Psychological Renewal of the Nations;

Set 3. Children, Youth & Education;

Set 4. Capital, Labor & Employment;

Set 5. Racial Minorities;

Set 6. The Churches & Organized Religion;

Set 7. International Unity

Throughout the above course, PROBLEMS OF HUMANITY, emphasis is placed upon underlying causes and emerging trends rather than on a factual survey of events. The use of the trained mind in reflective meditation is seen as a key factor, and is encouraged. World Goodwill also encourages the formation of study groups for the course. Through study, discussion and meditation we can generate a "thought-form of solution", so changing the climate of world thought. By changing thought, we can produce effective and practical changes in world affairs, changes which we can participate in through local forms of service activity.

In this website I (we) wish to explore, if I (we) may, some of the most relative themes from the above list as well as the problem of substance abuse, the need for the global human population management, global resource management and sustainable living.

This website is in only in the beginning stages of being created and is totally me (our) own views and interpretations of the work written by Alice Bailey.
