As you would be aware the World Health Organisation has declared the COVID-19 a pandemic.

The Department of Education has been working with NSW Health to support the safety and wellbeing of staff and students.

The Department of Education has directed the suspension of some activities to support efforts to limit the spread of the virus throughout the community.

As a result, CHORALFEST 2020 will NOT be going ahead as planned on 5-7 MAY, 2020.

Thank you for your support of this event and we look forward to working with you in the future.

What is Choralfest?

Choralfest is a festival which celebrates singing through primary and high school vocal ensembles and is for the enjoyment and enrichment of all school ages.

It is open to all ensembles from NSW Department of Education schools.

Choralfest is held each year Term Two, Week Two in the purpose built, Lake Macquarie Performing Arts Centre. The high quality venue, adjudicators and competitors ensure this is a competition not to be missed.

The festival provides a fabulous opportunity for choristers to publicly perform, showcase their learning, observe other performances and receive constructive and positive feedback from recognised musical experts.

Choralfest aims to provide a learning experience for all singers from Kindergarten to Year 12 through both listening and performance in a fun friendly atmosphere.
