The Alameda County Arts Commission in collaboration with Hayward Arts Council are proud to present this group exhibition of artwork created by local Veterans who participated in the Veterans Art Project at the Oakland Vet Center and Cal Veteran Services Center. 
The Veterans Art Project is coordinated by the Alameda County Arts Commission in partnership with the Oakland Vet Center which serves Veterans from across Alameda County.

The goal of the project is to provide Veterans with opportunities to express themselves in a supportive environment, explore visual art making techniques, and engage in community building. This project is funded by the California Arts Council. 
This exhibition features three projects conducted at the Oakland Vet Center in Oakland and at the Cal Veteran Services Center on the UC Berkeley campus. Participants include 15 Veterans who served during the Vietnam War, 13 Veterans who served during the Global War on Terror or other conflicts, and 6 partners of Veterans.

“Then and Now” Project featuring service photos, current photos, collage and writing
“Emotion Timeline” Project featuring painting and writing
“Memory Box” Project featuring photographs, mixed media collage and writing
