CALL FOR ART

Location: The John O'Lague Galleria, 777 B Street, inside Hayward City Hall

Show Dates: October 5 through December 14, 2018

Eligibility: The show is open to members of HAC, Sun Gallery, and A.R.T., Inc. only. Information about joining HAC can be found under the Join Us tab above. New members are welcome to participate. Click on the top link on the right to join or renew your membership and pay the show fee at the same time.

Requirements: The theme of this show is celebrating our ethnic heritage, so any work that in some way deals with our past and celebrating our ancestors is ideal. 

If you don’t have any pieces that qualify, make something new! Make new art. Have some fun! Honor the people and places that came before.

Most media will be accepted - photography, painting, drawing, mixed media, journaling, sculpture, jewelry, cards, block prints - and others. 2-dimentional work must be ready to hang with D-rings and wire in the back. Give a description in your entry form, and we will contact you if we have any questions about accommodating your work. 

Size and Weight of Artwork: No larger than 36" by 36" and no more than 30 pounds.

Sales: HAC will retain a 20% commission. Artwork must remain through the duration of the show. Artists will received payment at the end of the show.

Show dates: October 5 to December 14, 2018
Deadline to enter: August 30, 2018
Intake: Friday, October 5, 9:30 AM. At the John O'Lague Galleria. No exceptions.
Pick up art: Friday, December 14, 10 AM. At the John O'Lague Galleria. No exceptions.
Reception: Friday, October 12, 5:30 to 7:30 PM. Artists must bring finger food.

Registration:

To enter, fill out the online Entry Form by clicking on the top link to the right. If you have any trouble with the online form or want a paper form, just drop us an email or give us a call and we'll get you registered. All contact information can be found under the "About Us" tab above.

All participating artists will be required to sign an Artist Contract. You will also need to have your pieces labeled on the back with a Receiving Slip. Click on the links to the right to see these documents or to print and fill them out in advance. All forms will be available at the intake as well.

Fee:

There is a fee of $15 to be in the show if you are a member of one of the galleries. The fee for non-members is $30, which includes a pro-rated HAC membership. You must pay in advance, either by using the links on this page, or by sending a check to HAC at P.O. Box 126, Hayward, CA 94543.
