How to create a Works Cited page

You need to tell readers where you got the information for a paper.  This helps people understand where ideas that aren't yours came from and where the source information exists.

The two major ways to tell us where you got your information are called MLA and APA.  Each is a different style, slightly different, used in colleges around the world.

MLA Format is Tartan High School format.

Create a Works Cited page by starting a new word processing page (on Word, click "insert page break")

Using 12-point font (Times New Roman or Arial), center the words Works Cited at  the top of the page.

Double-space.  Hit return once.  There is no extra space between entries.

Using left-side justification, begin typing your sources.
