Research Interests

Combining remote sensing data and socio-economic data to quantitatively analyze urban growth; SAR data processing and applications; Land-cover classification, land-use / land-cover change analysis; Analyses of cropland and desertification cover at local, regional and continental scales.

Neural network, wavelet transform, fuzzy sets, rough sets, subspace algorithm and probabilistic information processing algorithms for remote sensing data processing.
