Kmart there aren't any Kmarts near HDS, but there's always the web.
Target 180 Somerville Ave. Somerville (1.5 miles from HDS & easy to get to on the bus), or there's always the web. There's also a really nice Target across the street from the Watertown-Arsenal Mall (more info in the mall section below).
Wal-Mart there aren't any Wal-Marts near HDS, but there's always the web.
Davis Square easily one of the coolest spots in the area. Great food, Great nightlife.
Harvard Square what is there to say? The COOP, great food, great bookstores, great atmosphere...this is the heart of the Harvard community.
Porter Square is really close to HDS and has a number of small stores and restaurants, including a Burlington Coat Factory, CVS, Pier 1, Blockbuster Video, and the largest Shaw's Supermarket in the area.
CambridgeSide Galleria The mall in Cambridge, includes all the major retailers you'd expect. Hint: Use the MBTA Trip-planner to get the easiest bus route or take the T to the Kendell/MIT stop and the mall runs a free shuttle service to the mall and back to the T stop, shuttle stop is in front of the MIT COOP (check mall for shuttle hours!!).
Copley Place 100 Huntington Ave. Boston. Located in the historic Back Bay, Copley Place is Boston's most distinctive shopping destination with 100 fabulous stores including the only Neiman Marcus in the Northeast. Downtown Crossing is a large shopping district in downtown Boston (hence the name), if you take the T, get off at the Downtown Crossing stop on the Red or Orange lines...or it's a short walk from the Park Street station.
