Many extraordinary people come together to make the Harvard PTO work. All volunteers are greatly appreciated! You can sign up to help with a specific activity or fundraiser described below -- or you can join our Volunteer Pool and help the PTO on an as-needed basis, as your schedule permits.

Volunteer Pool  

We'll contact you as opportunities arise, and you decide whether or not you can help with a specific volunteer opportunity.

Book Fair

Assist with the sale of books as well as setup and breakdown for the annual fall book sale.

Hospitality  

Provide refreshments for PTO meetings, the National Honor Society Dinner, Academic Awards Night, and other PTO events as needed.  Attend events to act as hostess as needed.
Estimated time required:  Minimal if providing a food or beverage.  2-4 hours if hosting.

Business Partner Program  

Contact local businesses to request donations; ensure Business Partners are included in annual student directory; create banner listing Partners for use at school events.  
Estimated time required: 10-12 hours late August/September.

Process orders for HES and Bromfield apparel and other school logo items.

Teacher Appreciation Events  

Provide food and beverages for Teacher Appreciation (T/A) dinner in November and/or during a week-long event in May.  Hostess opportunities available for T/A week.  Separate events for HES and Bromfield.
Estimated time required: Minimal if providing a food or beverage.  2-4 hours if hosting.

Fun Fair  

Annual celebration/fundraiser near the end of the school year featuring fun games and activities for all ages, plus a lot of great food.  There are many ways to get involved.
Estimated time required:  Time commitments vary by volunteer opportunity.  Help is needed in preparing for the event (May/June) and at the event.

Square One Art  

Work with HES and Bromfield art teachers to execute this fun, new fundraising program in which children create a piece of artwork that can be transferred onto a variety of items -- T-shirt, key chain, water bottle, etc. -- for purchase.  
Estimated time required:  5-7 hours around time of program.  
NOTE:  this program is looking for a chairperson for next year as well as help for this year.
