Prospective members can join the Harvard College Law Society by completing a one-semester comp. The comp process will be thoroughly explained at the introductory meeting each semester (check the calendar for details) but consists of:
- Attending 8 HCLS general meetings
- Joining one of the six available committees
- Authoring a brief article for the Harvard Undergraduate Law Review
Members who complete the comp are allowed to run for positions on the executive board, and receive special member benefits, including discounts on LSAT test courses, among other things.
