MONTPELLIER

Located in the south of France, Montpellier is the 8th largest city and fastest growing in the country. It offers the infrastructures and facilities of a major city, but still preserves a sweet Mediterranean art of life, with colorful markets, vast pedestrian squares, lively café terraces, beaches just a bike ride away, and over 300 days of sunshine per year. From an architectural point of view, medieval streets in the historic center side contemporary creations by well-known architects such as Jean Nouvel, Zaha Hadid, Massimilino Fuksas, Philippe Starck and Ricardo Bofill.

A city of science since the Middle Age, Montpellier hosts the oldest European faculty still in activity. Two Universities, nine science high schools, and two business schools welcome 75,000 students, also attracted by Montpellier
well-known research excellence and innovation, with an active night life, great access to outdoors, culture and gastronomy.

With 4 tram lines, 36 bus lines, more than 50 Vélomagg bike rental stations, Montpellier has a great public transportation system.
