SOME OF THE THINGS I LOVE

30th Anniversary Song our kids wrote and performed for us Nov 2017

I adore my husband and kids, and all of my family.
I love my friends.
I love to dance.
I love to teach.
I love cats.
I love the beach and swimming out past the waves.
I like playing cards, especially Rummy 500 and Casino and Solitaire.
I like riding on the tandem bike with my hubby.

Chapters from Don't Sweat the Small Stuff -- and it's all small stuff

Written by Edmond Fleg, in 1927, while in Paris:
I am a Jew because the faith of Israel requires of me no abdication of the mind.
I am a Jew because the faith of Israel requires all the devotion of my heart.
I am a Jew because in every place where suffering weeps, the Jew weeps.
I am a Jew because at every time when despair cries out, the Jew hopes.
I am a Jew because the word of the people Israel is the oldest and the newest.
I am a Jew because the promise of Israel is the universal promise.
I am a Jew because, for Israel, the world is not completed; we are completing it.
I am a Jew because, for Israel, humanity is not created, we are creating it.
I am a Jew because Israel places humanity and its unity above the nations and above Israel itself. I am a Jew because, above humanity, image of the divine Unity, Israel places the unity which is divine.

I love that my parents and mother-in-law have stories/poems they wrote:

I'm keeping this list of some TV/Movies/Books I am watching/reading, want to watch/read, or already watched/read.

I love some of George Carlin's bits, especially the one about Cats and Dogs.

I love Pink's performance of Glitter in the Air at the 2010 Grammies.  The song and performance truly moves me.  Her performance is beyond amazing.  I could watch it over and over! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3stsDXki__U

I love great tap dance, and this one with from Singin' in the Rain to Good Morning is awesome: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0faKka86xN4

Check out this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGfeeF6FIyg.  I was told it was Ginger Rogers at 92 dancing with her 29 year old grandson, but it's not.  It's a 75 year old woman dancing with her salsa teacher.  Here's the snopes article: http://www.snopes.com/photos/arts/salsadance.asp. It's still a pretty cool clip.

Fred Astaire and Eleanor Powell tapdancing in 1940: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjq0ykt155c
