Haolei Weng

I am a final year Ph.D. student in the Columbia Statistics Department, advised by Professors Yang Feng and Arian Maleki. Before going to Columbia, I received a B.S. in Statistics from University of Science and Technology of China, where I wrote my undergraduate thesis under the supervision of Professor Yaning Yang. I have spent the summer of 2014 as a data analyst intern at Google. My research interests lie in high-dimensional inference, matrix completion, compressed sensing, non-convex optimization, statistical physics, and community detection in networks.
