Park Details

Tinker Nature Park is a  68 acre, handicap accessible park.

It features a 1.2 mile walking/exercise  trail and a 1/2 mile nature trail. 

 Tinker Nature Park is open 7am until sundown, restrooms available by the Calkins Rd parking lot.  Several unique features include:

  • Wildflower Meadow                                            
  • Snake Hibernaculum                                                   
  • Wildlife Observation Blind
  • Fairy House trail  (perimeter trail from playground to fit-trail post)  
  • Orienteering Course 

The Park also features a pond for fishing (bass season only), A playground and recreation area, a physical fitness course and three pavilions with picnic tables for cold picnics. Dogs are not allowed in Tinker Nature Park.

Hansen Nature Center

The Hansen Nature Center is free and open to the public. We invite you to view our nature exhibits that change with the seasons.   Nature Center is open Tuesday-Saturday 9:00 am-3:30 pm.
