Board Review Course Schedule 2016-2017

OKAP Exam: March 18, 2017

AAO Written Qualifying Exam: March 28, 2017

Welcome to the UW Eye Institute’s Ophthalmology Board review course. These sessions are intended to provide ophthalmology residents studying for the OKAP exam and graduates studying for AAO Written Qualifying Exam a review of high yield testable topics.

We will be using the AAO Basic and Clinical Science Course textbooks as our basis for content and reading material.  If a topic were to be reviewed over a 3-week period, we would cover approximately 1/3 of the corresponding AAO book during each session.  Each session will consist of a 30 min Q&A presentation followed by a 30 to 45 minute didactic.

All review sessions will be held on Tuesdays at 6 pm – 7pm, unless otherwise stated next to the date below.

The responsibility of the R3 and R4 residents listed next to the dates below will be to generate 15 minutes worth of content to correspond to current reading.  The responsibility of the R2 will be to produce a 10 min review of the previous session/ reading. Content format criteria will be discussed in a separate document.

If you are absent on your specified date, it is your responsibility to discuss this with your Chief and assist them to arrange coverage.
