Waroona Vintage Machinery Rally 2019.

Waroona. September 22nd 2019.

This years rally was again well attended by members and other exhibitors and this time weather held out to be a nice sunny day after 3 years of being rained off!!!

Several members and wives made it a week end away  with some in caravans and some staying at the local motel. This enabled us to catch up with our local members  with shed visits, tool exhibitions and even a bit of picking!!!!. We all met up for some fun evenings over a dinner and drink or two and talked all weekend about tools, ahh heaven!!

Setting up tool sales area, Saturday afternoon                                              Automotive tool display, post boring machine in background.

Thanks to local member Bill we were given the entire Wasmley pavilion so we were able to set up some great displays and a large sales area. Geoff kept the crowds attention with his post boring machine, Dave enticed a good number of raffle buyers and showed many mechanical tools.

Bill R. always has a good wide rangeing display.                                                 Steve has Australian made tools on his display.

Outside on the oval tractors, cars, trucks, including this nicely restored Flintstone Mack, stationary engines and no rain!!

Bill R. displayed a fantastic array of tools, local memorabilia and an eclectic range of unusual vintage items , Steve showed a great range of Australian tools from past to present and Bob’s display of farm style wrenches had the visitors reminiscing. It was great to see Billy D. attend with his array of whatsits and Willy with his model aero engines.

The sales area was busy all day with Rob and Maggie B, Peter J. and myself managing to keep the customers happy.

The highlight was when this little kid about 12 came running in with grandad in tow and waiving his raffle ticket shouting out- “I won, I won  the raffle prize”, so that's off to a good home. The smile on both their faces summed up a great event!!

Thanks to all who attended…Nigel
