Patterns and Places: An exhibition by Wild Fibre Artists. March 13- April 12, Gallery M, Marion Cultural Centre, 287 Diagonal Road, Oaklands Park. Open Mon - Sat 10-4, Sun 1-4. Opening Night: 6:30pm, Friday March 13, with guest speaker Joy Harvey. Meet the artists: 2pm, Sunday March 22.

Open Day: Adelaide Hills Spinners and Weavers Guild. May 30, 2015. Free entry! raffle, displays, demonstrations and sales of quality fleece, handspun yarns, and other crafts (including knitted, woven or felted garments) Tasty food and coffee/tea for sale. 10-4, Peace Memorial Hall, Littlehampton. Grampians Texture 2015: March 14-19 in Halls Gap. Fibre arts and textiles in 2, 4, 6 day workshops with 17 different textile tutors, including basket making, felting, tapestry weaving, eco dyeing, crochet, spinning and dyeing. Download basic information from info sheet below. For full information go to their website: www.grampianstexture.com.au.

Scarf Exchange 2015: The Handweavers, Spinners and Dyers Guild of WA, Inc. are the organisers of the 2015 Scarf Exchange.  All are invited to participate - theme this year is Year of the Sheep / Goat. Send 150 grams of clean fibre and an entry form to them by March 27th. You will receive a package in return by the end of April which you craft (using spinning, felting, weaving, knitting, crocheting, or a combination) into a scarf, shawl, beanie, hat or bag and return to the organisers by 28 August. An exhibition of completed articles at the Peppermint Grove Library (1 Leake St, Peppermint Grove WA 6011) will be held 11-13 Sept. All welcome to view the creations. Then completed items will be returned to the person providing the original fibre packet. Cost to participate: $AUD18 (Australian participants), $AUD26 (New Zealanders), $AUD31 (USA participants) and enquire for other overseas participants.
