Middle School Boys Swimming and Diving

Congratulations to the boys Middle School team on a conference Championship this past weekend.  Everyone on the team contributed to the win, and the hard work throughout the season really paid off in the end.  Finishing in the top 8 for each event were:  The 200 medley relay team of Isaac Beatty, Ethan Klingenberg, Sam Hambley, and Evan Johnson.  In the 200 freestyle, Heath Stutler placed 2nd, Ethan Klingenberg was 4th and Isaac Beatty was 5th.  Sam Hambley placed 8th in the 100 IM, while Cole Nyboer won the 50 freestyle and Zach Boehm finished 8th.  For the diving competition, Ethan Shelton finished 2nd, while Max Van Huis finished 8th.  Lewis Bueschel finished 7th in the 50 butterfly, while Heath Stutler won the 100 freestyle, Cole Nyboer was second and Zach Boehm was 7th.  Isaac Beatty took 3rd place in the 100 backstroke, while Evan Johnson was 6th. Finally the 200 Freestyle relay team of Cole Nyboer, Heath Stutler, Lewis Bueschel, and Zach Boehm finished second.
During the season three school records were broken, Heath Stutler beat the 200 freestyle record at the conference meet, Ethan Shelton beat the 5 dive record against West Ottawa Middle School, and the 8 dive record at the conference meet.  
Overall, the team finished with a record of 6-3.
