The Myth of Aryan Invasion of India

The Aryan race: the origin of the Myth

Aryans

Who Were the Aryans?
The Aryans were semi-nomadic Nordic Whites, perhaps located originally on the steppes of southern Russia and Central Asia, who spoke the parent language of the various Indo-European languages.

Latin, Greek, Hittite, Sanskrit, French, German, Latvian, English, Spanish, Russian etc. are all Indo-European languages; Indo-European, or more properly Proto-Indo-European (PIE), is the lost ancestral language from which those languages ultimately derive. The "Proto" indicates that the grammar and vocabulary of this long extinct language, probably spoken up until 3000 BC, are a hypothetical reconstruction by modern philologists. Just as Romance languages like Italian and Spanish derive from Latin, so Latin derives from PIE.

·       In general Indian history different kingdoms were established in different parts of India, some by foreign invaders. The first known invaders of India were Aryans (also mentioned sometimes as Indo-Aryans). It is believed that the Aryans arrived in north India somewhere from Iran and southern Russia at around 1500 B. C. The Aryans fought and pushed the local people called Dravidians southwards. The Aryans are referred to in Indian history as fair skinned people who pushed the dark skinned Dravidians southwards (see also Aryans and Dravidians - a controversial issue).

Aryans and Dravidians - A controversial issue

The most basic division of the Indian society is of Aryans and Dravidians. According to this division, nearly 72% of Indians are Aryans and 28% are Dravidians. The north Indians are the descendants of Aryans and the south Indians are Dravidians. The languages spoken in five states of south India are considered Dravidian languages and most of the languages spoken in the north are considered Aryan languages. The general script of the Aryan languages is different from the general script of Dravidian languages. The Indians also distinguish themselves by the general north Indian accent and general south Indian accent.

Indian History does not belong to any Race or Religion

Today some politics parties are playing the Hinduism card in India.

They have believed in Ram and Krishna as Gods.

Historians have told us that Ram was the Aryan king,

We knew it very well in the Indian Hindu’s class system.

The majority is actually not agreeing to that class system .

Even if you find out that the Majority Hindus of India don’t believe in Ram and Krishna as Gods?

Definition of a "Hindu" is clearly inadequate.Ram and Krishna as Gods ? Buddhism and Jainism reject the very doctrine of the infallibility of the Vedas and the system of varna-vyavastha, which are fundamental to Hinduism, that is, if the term "Hinduism" is used in its most restricted sense. Therefore whoever doesn’t believe in Ram and Krishna as Gods, Buddhists, Jains, Sikhs, Parsis, Muslims, Christians and Jews are not Hindus.

                      BENGALI TRANSLATOR'S INTRODUCTION

The Creator and Sustainer of the Universe is One and has no second. Only He is worthy of praise.                 Only  He is worthy of worship. He is the Lord of the Worlds. For the well-being of human beings, in this

world and the next, and to give them guidance to the true path, He has sent Messengers in every age
and every land. But some ignorant people of India think that the Lord's Messengers, sages and great
men are sent only to India, in spite of the fact that the Aryans themselves came from countries outside
India and the Vedas are the religious scriptures of non-Indian Aryans. The real truth is, that whenever
abominations and irreligious practices get out of hand and previous scriptures become corrupted, God
sends new Messengers and reveals new scriptures. Those who reject the new Messengers and the new
scriptures and thus follow the superstitions blindly, go headlong towards their doom. On the other hand,
those who accept such Messengers and obey the new scriptures, attain the true path.

Rabindranath Tagore: His Religious View Especially For Islam

Rabindranath Tagore gives homage to one of the great religions of the world, Islam in following words:

“Islam is one of the few great religions of the world and the responsibility is immense upon its followers

who must, in their lives, bear testimony to the greatness of their faith. Our one hope of mutual reconciliation

between the communities inhabiting India, of bringing about a truly civilized attitude of mind towards

each other in this unfortunate country depends not merely on the realization of an intelligent self-interest,

but on the eternal source of inspiration that comes from the immortal lines of these messengers of truth who

have been the beloved of God and lovers of men. I am taking this advantage of the auspicious occasion

today when I may join my Moslem brothers in offering my homage of adoration to the grand prophet of Islam

and invoke his blessings for India which is in dire need of succor and solace.”7

Rabindranath Tagore takes his religious views regarding the Islam always

in the greater interest of the mother country. He was aware of the fact that until

we keep ourselves united as a cohesive force of power and love we can’t taste the sweetness of freedom.

In one of the messages for the prophet number of the Peshwa, a famous journal of his time, he writes:

“I take this opportunity to offer my homage of veneration to

the Holy Prophet, Mohammad, one of the greatest personalities born in the world,

who has brought a new and potent force of life into human history, a vigorous ideal of purity in religion,

and I earnestly pray that those who follow his path will justify their noble faith in their life and

the sublime teaching of their master by serving the cause of civilization in the building of the history of the modern India,

helping to maintain peace and mutual goodwill in the field of our national life.”8

There is evidence of Arabs settling along the Konkan-Gujarat coast as early as the 9th, 8th and perhaps 7th century.[7] Arab traders landed at Ghogha (located just across the narrow Gulf of Cambay from Surat) around the early seventh century and built a masjid there facing Jeruselum.[8] Thus Gujarat has the oldest mosque in India built between 624-626AD by the Arabs who settled there. These Arabs and others who settled in Bharuch and Surat were sailors, nakhudas, and merchants who belonged to various South Arabian coastal tribes while others were from the Persian Gulf, and large numbers married local women, adopting the local language and customs over time.[9]

AMONG MANY LOCAL DOMINANT TRIBES ACCEPTED ISLAM AND BE CAME AN INDIAN MUSLIM.

IN GUJARAT INDIA WE FIND SAME SURNAME PATEL,DESAI, PAREKH,CHOHAN, VAID  act.

[7] Here the main impetus to Muslim settlement came from the merchants of the Persian Gulf and Oman, with a minority from Hadramaut: Al-Hind, Volume 1 Early Medieval India and the Expansion of Islam 7th-11th Centuries

Hindu Scholar (Swami Lakshmi Shankar acharya) speaks about Islam-

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Editor: Please publish as follows:

God or gods ?  By commonsense, logic & Scriptural evidence for all.

There are people who worship One God and there are people who worship more than one. The difference in belief between these two have been led to many wars and even today deep divisions have been created as both sides claiming to be true in their belief and unsocial elements of the society for their vested interest and for political gains take advantage and disturb the communal harmony which results in riots from time to time.

The best and easy way to solve the problem is to let all the people know the truth if there is One God or more than One or trinity by simply applying the common sense and logic which every normal human has whether literate or illiterate because I myself as a layman making an effort for the sake of peace to bring the people together to the true belief.

To start with, if anyone asks to own self, how many mothers do I have? The answer is spontaneously “One”; Because the same one mother looks after her children all alone and independently and fulfills their needs and none among the children would ever say I have more than one mother to fulfill my various needs.

Now, look at the animals, birds and rest of the creatures and see how a single mother among them looks after the off springs and feed them all alone and independently. These are the facts and examples demonstrated by the One who created this world and through His creatures showing His signs as a Mercy so that everyone should be well aware of His Oneness who is All Alone and Independent and has the full control over His creation and He is the only One worthy of worship.

To those who are not yet ready to accept the truth of Oneness of God due to any reason, One Almighty God with His  Mercy and Wisdom giving more examples to show His Oneness so that no one go astray and end up in hell, therefore,  must have another look, like when it comes to elect a president or head of state or a king, everyone agrees and says that only one should be elected and nobody will be ready to accept more than one otherwise they say there will be chaos in the country and impossible to have more than one in any case.

In the worldly matters if we are not ready to elect more than a single person as a king or a president to govern the country and outright reject  more than one then how can anyone do the justice by believing and worshipping in more than One Almighty God who runs the whole universe with utmost precision & perfection. Now the common sense demands in case there were more than one God then the disagreements between the gods is disastrous for the   universe beyond our imagination as within no time all living beings would be ceased to exist because the complexity of our planet points to a deliberate Designer who not only created the universe but sustains it all alone and He is alone worthy of worship.

Furthermore, if we all see  the religious scriptures of all major religions Like Hinduism, Christianity, Islam and Judaism to test the above argument in order to see the convincing evidence, after having seen the compelling evidence from commonsense and  logic, will have no choice but to believe and worship Only One God as per the below scriptures:

Hinduism: Consider the following verse from the Gita: "Those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires surrender unto demigods and follow the particular rules and regulations of worship according to their own natures."  [Bhagavad Gita 7:20] The Gita states that people who are materialistic worship demigods i.e. ‘gods’ besides the True God.

The Vedas are considered the most sacred of all the Hindu scriptures. There are four principal Vedas: Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samveda and Atharvaveda. Yajurveda The following verses from the Yajurveda echo a similar concept of God: "na tasya pratima asti "There is no image of Him." [Yajurveda 32:3]5 "shudhama poapvidham" "He is bodyless and pure." [Yajurveda 40:8]6 "Andhatama pravishanti ye asambhuti mupaste" "They enter darkness, those who worship the natural elements" (Air, Water, Fire, etc.). "They sink deeper in darkness, those who worship sambhuti." [Yajurveda 40:9]7 Sambhuti means created things, for example table, chair, idol, etc.

The following verses from the Upanishads refer to the Concept of God:

"Ekam evadvitiyam"  "He is One only without a second."        [Chandogya Upanishad 6:2:1]1

"Na casya kascij janita na cadhipah." "Of Him there are neither parents nor lord."   [Svetasvatara Upanishad 6:9]2

"Na tasya pratima asti" "There is no likeness of Him."   [Svetasvatara Upanishad 4:19]3

Yajur Veda 3:32: "...Of that God you cannot make any images."

Yajur Veda 32:3: "God is formless and bodiless"

Rig Veda, Vol.8,1:1: "All Praise are to Him alone"

Rig Veda, Vol.6,45:16: "There is only One God, worship Him."

Christianity:   Jesus replied, "The most important commandment is this: 'Listen, O Israel! The LORD our God is the one and only LORD.     ( Mark 12-29, New Living Translation 2007 ) .

Islam:  The Final Testament, the Quran proclaims the first commandment in various verses. Some of them are reproduced below.

"God bears witness that there is no God except He, and so do the angels and those who possess knowledge. Truthfully and equitably, He is the absolute God; there is no God but He, the Almighty, Most Wise." 3:18  ( Holy Quran )

"When they were told, "Laa Elaaha Il lallaah [There is no other God beside God]," they turned arrogant." 37:35 ( Holy Quran )

"You shall know that: "there is no other God beside God," and ask forgiveness of your sins and the sins of all believing men and women. God is fully aware of your decisions and your ultimate destiny." 47:19 ( Holy Quran )

Say: He is Allah, the One and Only! Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not nor is He begotten. And there is none like unto Him. 112-1 to 4 ( Holy Quran )

"Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe?" 21:30 ( Holy Quran )

“Surely, those who disbelieve and die while they are unbelievers, the earth full of gold shall not be accepted from one of them, though he should offer to ransom himself with it, these it is who shall have a painful chastisement, and they shall have no helpers.” 3:91 ( Holy Quran )

And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, "Indeed, I am of the Muslims." 41:33 ( Holy Quran ).

“O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous”                   (Holy Quran 2:21)

O people! Remember the favour of Allah upon you; is there a Creator other than Allah who can provide you sustenance from the sky and the earth? There is no God except Him; so where are you reverting?  35:3 ( Holy Quran ).

Proclaim, “Just show me your partners (false deities) whom you worship other than Allah; show me which part of the earth have they created - or do they have any share in the heavens?” Or have We given them some Book, so they are on its clear proofs? In fact the unjust do not give promises to each other, except of deceit. 35:40 ( Holy Quran ).

Judaism: “You shall have no other gods before me.”   Exodus 20:3

“You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.” Exodus 20:4

I hope by now all very well understood the truth and got the message loud and clear as One Almighty God is demonstrating his Oneness again and again in every way of life so that all believe and worship only One God so that much needed peace prevail in this world and all human beings safely go to heaven after the ultimate death because the unforgivable sin is to worship more than One Almighty God and associate partners with Him, as a mercy He is proving to all including layman  like me and illiterate ones that He is Alone worthy of worship and no one has an excuse as Almighty God has sent a warner to every nation right from the first man on earth to worship Him alone.

2. Concept of God according to Hindu Scriptures:

We can gain a better understanding of the concept of God in Hinduism by analysing Hindu scriptures.

BHAGAVAD GITA:

The most popular amongst all the Hindu scriptures is the Bhagavad Gita.
Consider the following verse from the Gita:

"Those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires surrender unto demigods and follow the particular rules and regulations of worship according to their own natures."
[Bhagavad Gita 7:20]

The Gita states that people who are materialistic worship demigods i.e. ‘gods’ besides the True God.

UPANISHADS:

The Upanishads are considered sacred scriptures by the Hindus.

The following verses from the Upanishads refer to the Concept of God:

1.  "Ekam evadvitiyam"
"He is One only without a second."
[Chandogya Upanishad 6:2:1]1

2.  "Na casya kascij janita na cadhipah."
"Of Him there are neither parents nor lord."
[Svetasvatara Upanishad 6:9]2

3.  "Na tasya pratima asti"
"There is no likeness of Him."
[Svetasvatara Upanishad 4:19]3

4.  The following verses from the Upanishad allude to the inability of man to imagine God in a particular form:

"Na samdrse tisthati rupam asya, na caksusa pasyati kas canainam."

"His form is not to be seen; no one sees Him with the eye."
[Svetasvatara Upanishad 4:20]4

4[The Principal Upanishad by S. Radhakrishnan page 737]
[Sacred Books of the East, volume 15, ‘The Upanishads part II’ page no 253]

THE VEDAS
Vedas are considered the most sacred of all the Hindu scriptures. There are four principal Vedas: Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samveda and Atharvaveda.

1. Yajurveda
The following verses from the Yajurveda echo a similar concept of God:

1. "na tasya pratima asti"
"There is no image of Him."
    [Yajurveda 32:3]5

2. "shudhama poapvidham"
    "He is bodyless and pure."
    [Yajurveda 40:8]6

3. "Andhatama pravishanti ye asambhuti mupaste"
"They enter darkness, those who worship the natural elements" (Air, Water, Fire, etc.). "They sink
deeper in darkness, those who worship sambhuti."
    [Yajurveda 40:9]7

4. Sambhuti means created things, for example table, chair, idol, etc.

The Yajurveda contains the following prayer:
"Lead us to the good path and remove the sin that makes us stray and wander."
   [Yajurveda 40:16]8

  5[Yajurveda by Devi Chand M.A. page 377]

  6[Yajurveda Samhita by Ralph T. H. Giffith page 538]

  7[Yajurveda Samhita by Ralph T. H. Giffith page 538]

  8[Yajurveda Samhita by Ralph T. H. Griffith page 541]

2. Atharvaveda

The Atharvaveda praises God in Book 20, hymn 58 and verse 3:
1. "Dev maha osi"
"God is verily great"
[Atharvaveda 20:58:3]9

3. Rigveda
1.  The oldest of all the vedas is Rigveda. It is also the one considered most sacred by the Hindus.
The Rigveda states in Book 1, hymn 164 and verse 46:  "Sages (learned Priests) call one God by many
names."
[Rigveda 1:164:46]

2. The Rigveda gives several different attributes to Almighty God. Many of these are mentioned in
Rigveda Book 2 hymn 1.

Among the various attributes of God, one of the beautiful attributes mentioned in the Rigveda Book II hymn 1 verse 3, is Brahma. Brahma means ‘The Creator’. Translated into Arabic it means Khaaliq. Muslims can have no objection if Almighty God is referred to as Khaaliq or ‘Creator’ or Brahma. However if it is said that Brahma is Almighty God who has four heads with each head having a crown, Muslims take strong exception to it.

Describing Almighty God in anthropomorphic terms also goes against the following verse of Yajurveda:

"Na tasya Pratima asti"
"There is no image of Him."
[Yajurveda 32:3]

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of

a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes,

that ye may know each other not that ye may despise

(each other). Verily the most honored of you in the sight

of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And

Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted

(with all things).” (Quran 49:13) (Translation)

One Indian Hindu research professor, in his stunning book, claims that the description of Avatar found in the holy books of Hindu religion is in fact that of the Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam).

Amazingly, the author of this book is a fair-minded, famous professor who happens to be a Hindu. His name is Pandit Benda Prakash Upadhai and the name of his fact revealing book is Kalki Avatar. The author is a Hindu Brahmin by caste of Bengali origin. He is a research scholar, a seeker of the Truth and a well-known Pandit in Allahabad University.

After years of research work, Pandit Vedaprakash published this book and eight other pandits have endorsed and certified his points of argument as authentic.

According to Hindu belief and their holy books, the description of the Guide and the Leader, named Kalki Avatar, fits only the Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) of Arabia. So the Hindus of the whole world should not wait any longer for the arrival of Kalki Avatar (the spirit) and should readily accept Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) as Kalki Avatar.

NEVER ENDING PAIN
What the author and other eight eminent pandits say is that the Hindus who are still anxiously awaiting the arrival of Kaki Avatar are simply subjecting themselves to a never-ending pain, because such a great messenger has come and gone from this world fourteen centuries ago.

Pandit Vedaprakash produces the following sound evidence from the Vedas and other holy books of the Hindu religion in support of his claim:

1. In Purana (a holy book of the Hindus), it is stated that Kalki Avatar would be the last messenger (prophet) of God in this world for the guidance of the whole world and all human beings.

2. According to Hindu religions prediction of the birth of Kalki Avatar would take place in an isle which, again according to Hindu religion, is Arab region.

3. In the books of Hindus, the names of the father and the mother of Kalki Avatar are givenas Vishnubhagat and Sumaani respectively. If we examine the meanings of these names, we shall come to a very interesting conclusion, e.g. take Vishnubhagat: Vishnu (meaning god) + Bhagat (meaning slave) =  Slave of God = Abdullah (in Arabic). Sumaani = Peace or Calmness = Aaminah (in Arabic)

4. In the religious books of Hindus, it is mentioned the staple diet of Kalki Avatar would be dates and olive and he would be the most honest and truthful person in the Region. Without any doubt, the Prophet (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) is acclaimed to possess these qualities.

5. It is stated in Vedas (Hindu holy book) that the birth of Kalki Avatar would take place in an honourable clan. This perfectly fits only with the clan of Quraysh to which Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) belonged.

DAZZLING ACCOUNT
6. God would teach Kalki Avatar through His messenger (angel) in a cave. Allah taught Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) through His messenger Jibraaeel in a cave known as Ghaar Hiraa.

7. God would avail Kalki Avatar with a very speedy horse to ride and travel the whole world and the seven skies. This is an indication of the Buraaq and Mi?raaj.

8. God would also avail Kalki Avatar with divine help. This was probably proven in the Battle of Badr.

9. Another dazzling account given about Kalki Avatar was that he would be born on the 12th of a month. The Prophet (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) was born on the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal.

10. Kalki Avatar would be an excellent horse rider and swordsman. The Prophet (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) was both.

The author has given numerous other arguments in favour of his claim that Kalki Avatar is in fact Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) and those who still await the arrival of Kalki Avatar should think again.

The Concept of God in Hinduism and Islam

Do You Know?

The much awaited dialogue by Dr. Zakir Naik and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on the topic.

In The Light Of Sacred Scriptures

Took place in Bangalore in front of a jam packed crowd of about 50000, at the Palace Grounds on 21st Jan 2006.

Date : January 21, 2006.

Dr Zakir Naik : I started my talk by quoting a Verse from the glorious Qur’an from Surah Al-Imraan Chapter #3 Verse #64 which says : Qul ya ahla alkitabi (say oh people of the Book) taAAalawila kalimatin sawa-in baynana wabaynakum (come to common terms as in us and you) which is the first term? allanaAAbuda illa Allaha (that you worship none but Allah, Almighty God)wala nushrika bihishay-an (that we associate no partners with him) wala yattakhitha baAAdunabaAAdan arbaban min dooni Allahi (that we erect not among ourselves Lords and Patrons other than Allah)faintawallaw (if they turn back)faqooloo ishhadoo (say you bear witness) bi-anna muslimoona (that we are Muslims bowing our will to Allah Almighty God).

This Verse of the glorious Qur’an though it particularly speaks to the ahle kithaab, the Jews and Christians, it is meant for all different types of people, it says“taAAalawila kalimatin sawa-in baynana wabaynakum.”(come to common terms as with us and you) which is the first term? allanaAAbuda illa Allaha (that you worship none but God Almighty) wala nushrika bihishay-an(that we associate no partners with him).

It is not appropriate to try and understand a religion or to try and understand the concept of God in a religion,by observing the followers of that religion; because many a times the followers of that religion, they themselves may not be aware about the religion or the concept of God in the religion; neither it is appropriate to observe or look at the traditions or the cultures of the followers of the religion because many of the cultures and traditions may not be part of the religion.

The best and the most authentic way to understand any religion or the concept of God in a religion is to try and understand what the sacred scriptures have to speak about that religion or the concept of God in that religion.

Many people have misconception that Islam is a new religion, which came into existence 1400 years ago and Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the founder of this religion. In fact, Islam is there since time immemorial. Since man set foot on the earth, and Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is not the founder of this religion but he is the last and final messenger sent by Almighty God, the last and final Prophet.

Oneness of God in Major Religious Scriptures

So now we know what are the major religions in the world. If you want to understand this religions, the best way is to check what the religious scriptures are saying about that religion. You may be wondered after readingthe title of this post :) even i felt the same after understanding the these religious scriptures. There are so many similarities between these religious scriptures and the most common is "oneness of God". Lets analyze what the major religious scripture are saying about the topic;

Judaism:

Judaism is one of the oldest monotheistic religions in the world. Jewish Bibleis the scripture of Judaism. It contains 39 books. The first five books (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy) is called Torah. It is in Hebrew language. Lets check what Judaism is saying about the oneness of God through its scriptures.

It has written in the
book of Deuteronomy Ch. No.6, V. No.4

Hebrew : " Shama Israelu Adonai ila  Hayno Adna Ikhad "
English :  "
Hear, oh Israel, The Lord our God is one Lord "

In the book of
Isaiah Ch. No.43, V. No.11
" I, even I, am the Lord and besides me there is no Savior "

In the book Isaiah Ch. No. 45, V. No. 5
" I am Lord, and there is no one else, I am God and there is none like me "

In the book of Exodus Ch. V. No. 3 to 5

"Thou shall have no other gods besides me, Thou shall not make unto thee any graven image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shall not bow down to them, nor serve them, for I the Lord, the God, is a jealous God."

In the book of Deuteronomy Ch. No. 5, V. No. 7 to 9

"Thou shall have no other gods besides me. Thou shall not make thee any graven image, of any likeness, of anything that is the heavens above, that is in the earth beneath, and in the water beneath the earth. Thou shall not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them for I the Lord, the God am a jealous God."

There are several other verses in Jewish scriptures which say "God is one". It is not necessary to mention all here because Judaism is a strict monotheistic religion .

Christianity

Christianity is a religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazarethas presented in the New Testament of Bible.  It claims to have nearly 1.2 billion adherents all over the world. The holy Bible is the sacred scripture of the Christians. They are believing that Bible is the word of God. Lets check what Bible is saying about the oneness of God.

"For there is no God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"

(1 Timothy 2:5)

"I ascend  unto my father and your father; and to my God and your God"

(Gospel of john 20:17)

"Why callest thou me good ? There is none good but one, that is God."

(Gospel of Mathew 19:17)

"I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgement is just; because I seek not my own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me."

(Gospel of John 5:30)

"Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know."

(The Bible, Acts 2:22)

"And Jesus answered him, 'It is written, you shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve' "

(Gospel of Luke 4:8)

"Then Jesus said to him, 'Away with you, Satan ! For it is written, you shall worship the Lord your God, and him only you shall serve"

(Gospel of Mathew 4:10)

Islam

Islam is a strict monotheistic religion having more than one billion followers in the world. Muslims believe in Holy Qur'an as the word of God. There are many verses in Qur'an which says the oneness of God. So i am only quoting the 112th chapter from the Qur'an( "Surah Ikhlas")

"Say: He is Allah, The One and Only.

"Allah, the Eternal, Absolute.
"He begets not, nor is He begotten.
And there is none like unto Him."
(Surah ikhlas Ch. 112, V. 1-4])

There are many other verses also in the holy Qur'an which says "God is one", like, Ch. 2, V. 225 , Ch. 24, V. 35, Ch. 59, V. 22-24 etc.

Hinduism
Hinduism is the predominant and indigenous religious tradition of South Asia. It is the world's third largest religion after Christianity and Islam, approximately one billion adherents. In Hinduism the religious scriptures are divided in to "
The Shrutis" and "The Smritis". The Shrutis are considered to be God's words and they are more sacred than the Smritis. The Shrutis are further divided in to two types, "The Vedas" (which means knowledge par excellence or sacred wisdom) and "The Upanishads" (it is called, Knowledge, which removes ignorance.). Basically there are four Vedas, The rigved, The Yajurved, The Samaved and The Atharvaved. The vedas are most authentic and more sacred in all scriptures of Hinduism. There are more than 200 upanishads, but the Indian tradition put the figure 108. Smritis are less sacred than the Shrutis, and they have been written by Rishies and the human beings. There are various types Smritis, The Puranas , The Epics(The Mahabharat and The Ramayan), The Bhagavad Gita (Bhagavad Gita is a part of Mahabharata, 18 chapters from the Bheeshm Parv. Ch 25 to Ch. 42), The Manusmriti etc. Lets analyse what these Hindu scriptures are saying about the topic.

Chandogya Upanishad Ch. 6, Sec. 2, V. 1

Sikhism
Sikhism is a non-semitic, Aryan, non-Vedic religion founded by Guru Nanakat the end of the 15th century. It is a religion of 10 Gurus, the first Guru being Guru Nanak, and the 10th and the last being Guru Gobind Singh. The sacred book of sikhism is sri Guru Granth also called Adi Granth Sahib. Sikhism enjoins on its followers strict monotheism. It believes in only One Supreme God who is, in the unmanifest form called "Ek omkara". The best definition that we can give regarding the concept of God in Sikhism is quoting the "Mul Mantra" - the fundamental creed of Sikhism, which occurs at the beginning of Guru Granth Sahib.

It is mentioned in
Guru Granth Sahib, volume. 1, Japuji, Verse-1
"There exists but one God, who is called the true the creator, free from fear and hate, immortal not begotten, self existent, great and compassionate"

Zoroastrianism

Zoroastrianism is the ancient, pre-Islamic religion of Persia (modern Iran). It survives there in isolated areas but more prosperously in India, where the descendants of Zoroastrian Persian immigrants are known as Parsis, orParsees. In India the religion is called Parsiism. Founded by the Iranian prophet and reformer Zoroaster in the 6th century BC, Zoroastrianism contains both monotheistic and dualistic features. Its concepts of one God, judgment, heaven and hell likely influenced the major Western religions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. It is also known as the religion of fire worshippers and Magianism. Parsi Scriptures consist of Dasatir and Vestaor Zend-Avesta. Dasatir is further divided into two parts: Khurda Dasatir andKalan Dasatir. Avesta is further divided into Khurda Avesta and Kalan Avestaalso known as Zend or Maha-Zend.

God in Zoroastrianism is known as ‘Ahura Mazda’. ‘Ahura’ means ‘the Lord’ or 'The Master' and ‘Mazda’ means ‘the Wise’; hence ‘Ahura Mazda’ means ‘the Wise Lord’ or ‘the Wise God’. Ahura Mazda stands for God, in a strictly monotheistic sense.

According to the Dasatir, Ahura Mazda has the following qualities:
He is One.
He is without an origin or end.
He has no father or mother, wife or son.
He is without a body or form.
Nothing resembles Him.
Neither the eye can behold Him, nor the power of thinking can conceive Him.
He is above all that you can imagine.
He is nearer to you than your own self.

According to the Avesta, the Gathas and the Yasna give various characteristics to Ahura Mazda such as:

Creator

Yasna 31:7 & 11, Yasna 44:7, Yasna 50:11, Yasna 51:7

Most Mighty – the Greatest
Yasna 33:11, Yasna 45:6

Beneficent – Hudai.
Yasna 33:11, Yasna 48:3

Bountiful Spenta

Yasna 43:4,5,7,9,11,13,15, Yasna 44:2, Yasna 45:5, Yasna 46:9, Yasna 48:3

Believed to be the first mosque in India, Cheraman Juma Masjid where the Juma prayers were started is situated in Methala Village of Kodungalloor taluk in the state of Kerala. Built around 629 AD, the mosque is unique in its appearance as it is based on a mixture of Arab and traditional Kerala art and architecture.

The Oral tradition is that the Arab world had trade contacts with Kerala coast from very early times. Interaction with the Arabs brought Cheraman Perumal(the last Chera king to rule Cheranad (ancient Kerala)) closer to Islam. Later the king partitioned his kingdom among several chieftains for smooth governance, went to Mecca and converted to Islam and accepted the name Thajuddin. He married the sister of King of Jeddah and settled down there. As the tradition goes, Cheramanperumal, when he was

convinced of his imminent death, wrote letters to his relatives in Kerala seeking their help to propagate the tenets of Islam in Kerala. After his death, when Malik Bin Dinar (a disciple of Prophet Mohammed and a contemporary of Cheraman Perumal) came to Kerala, he brought the letters written by Perumal. The rulers of Kerala honoured the letter and permitted Malik Bin Dinar and his fellow Arab Muslim traders to establish mosques at different places in Kerala. This mosque at Kodungallur was the first to be established and Malik Bin Dinar himself became the first Ghazi of the mosque. Later Malik Bin Dinar appointed his son Habib Bin Malik as the next Ghazi, travelled all around Kerala establishing mosques in different parts of the state.

How do you take your great great grandfather Cheraman Perumal?

Cheraman Perumal was not only a king and my ancestor, but the first Indian to come into the fold of Islam. He was actually the person who gifted Islam and the first ever mosque to the Indian sub-continent. This happened much before the advents of Muhammad bin Qasim and Mahmood Ghaznavi. This shows that Islam didn’t come to India with the sword.

Gautama Buddha was the founder of Buddhism. His original name was Siddharth (meaning one who has accomplished). He was also called Sakyamuni, i.e. the sage of the tribe of Sakya. He was born in the year 563 B.C. in the village of Lumbini near Kapila Vastu, within the present borders of Nepal.

كُمْ لَوَاحِدٌ

إِنَّ إِلَهَكُمْ لَوَاحِدٌ

Narrated Ibn 'Umar: Allah's Apostle said: Islam is based on (the following) five (principles):
1. To testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is Allah's Apostle.
2. To offer the (compulsory congregational) prayers dutifully and perfectly.
3. To pay Zakat (i.e. obligatory charity) .
4. Toperform Hajj. (i.e. Pilgrimage to Mecca) 5. To observe fast during the month of Ramadan.  (Book #2, Hadith#7)

He is Allah, than Whom there is no other Allah, the Knower of the Invisible and the Visible. He is the Beneficent, Merciful.

He is Allah, than Whom there is no other Allah, the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One, Peace, the Keeper of Faith, the Guardian, the Majestic, the Compeller, the Superb. Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him).

He is Allah, the Creator, the Shaper out of naught, the Fashioner. His are the most beautiful names. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorifieth Him, and He is the Mighty, the Wise.

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ALL PRAISE is due to God, إِنَّ إِلَهَكُمْ لَوَاحِدٌ Truly, your God is truly One!

O mankind! Be careful of your duty to your Lord(RUB) Who created you from a single soul and from it created its mate and from them twain hath spread abroad a multitude of men and women. Be careful of your duty toward Allah in Whom ye claim (your rights) of one another, and toward the wombs (that bare you). Lo! Allah hath been a watcher over you.

Say: He is Allah, the One and Only;

Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;

He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;

And there is none like unto Him.

Quran Translation 112

Quran tran.4:1

Ibn Al-Qayyim described Allah's Greatness, saying,

He governs the affairs of the various kingdoms and He commands and forbids, creates, sustains, gives death, gives life, gives power, strips power (to and from whom He wills) and alternates the night and day. He gives varying fortunes to people and alternates governments (and states), destroying some and bringing some into existence. His Command and Power are dominant in the heavens and their zones, the earth and all that which is on and in it, in the seas and in the air. His Knowledge has encompassed everything and He counted everything. He hears all types of voices and they do not confuse Him. Rather, He hears each voice in its distinct language and need, and no voice will make Him busy from fulfilling the need of another, and no need will ever escape His Perfect Knowledge (and His Power to deliver). He does not become bored because of the many needs of those who need. His Sight encompasses all that which there is. He sees the movement of a black ant on a barren rock during a dark night. To Him, the Unseen is uncovered end the secret is secret no more, "Whosoever is in the heavens and on Earth begs of Him (its needs from Him). Every day He has a matter to bring Forth (such as giving honor to some, disgrace to some, life to (some, death to some, etc.)." [55:29] He forgives an evil deed, makes depression vanish and brings reprieve from disasters, relief for whoever needs it, wealth for the poor, guidance for the misguided, light for the lost, help for he who is desperate, fullness for the hungry, cover for the barely clothed, cure for the ill and ease for he who suffers. He accepts he who repents, gives reward for he who does good, gives aid for he who was dealt with injustice, destroys an arrogant person, covers mistakes, gives safety after fear end elevates some people and humiliates others. If those who inhabit His heavens and His earth and all those whom He created, whether mankind or the Jinns, had hearts similar to the most pious heart, His Kingdom will not increase. If all His creation, whether mankind or the Jinns, had hearts similar to the heart of the most wicked heart, this will not decrease from His Kingdom. Also, if all those who inhabit His heavens and His earth, all mankind and all the Jinns, the dead and the living, stand up on one strip of land and each asks Him for his need, and He then fulfils their needs, this will not decrease from what He has a bit. He is the First, nothing is before Him, the Last, nothing is after Him, the Most High, nothing is above Him, and the Most Near, nothing is nearer than Him. He, Exalted and Ever High as He is, is the Best Whom one can and should remember, the only One Who deserves to be worshiped and thanked, the Kindest of all those who own and the Most generous of all those who are asked to give. He is the King Who has no partner, the One Who has no competitor, the Samad (Self-Sufficient) Who has no offspring, and the Ever High, none like unto Him. Everything perishes save His Face and every kingship is bound to perish except His. He will only be obeyed by His Leave, and His Knowledge uncovers all disobedience to Him. When He is obeyed, He thanks for it, and when He is disobeyed, He grants forgiveness (for those who truly repent to Him). Every punishment from Him is just and every bounty is a grace. He is the Closest Witness and the Nearest One with His Perfect Care. He controls the forelocks of everything and has the full records of all deeds end the books of all ages. The hearts are unmasked to Him and the secret is unveiled. His giving and punishing is merely a Command, "Verily, His Command, when He intends a thing, is only that He says to it, ‘Be, and it is!’" [36:82].

There is no compulsion in religion. The right direction is henceforth distinct from error. And he who rejecteth false deities and believeth in Allah hath grasped a firm handhold which will never break. Allah is Hearer, Knower.

Allah is the Protecting Guardian of those who believe. He bringeth them out of darkness into light. As for those who disbelieve, their patrons are false deities. They bring them out of light into darkness. Such are rightful owners of the Fire. They will abide therein.

Bethink thee of him who had an argument with Abraham about his Lord, because Allah had given him the kingdom; how, when Abraham said: My Lord is He Who giveth life and causeth death, he answered: I give life and cause death. Abraham said: Lo! Allah causeth the sun to rise in the East, so do thou cause it to come up from the West. Thus was the disbeliever abashed. And Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk

Quran Tran.2:256,257,258.

Say: Come, I will recite unto you that which your Lord hath made a sacred duty for you: That ye ascribe no thing as partner unto Him and that ye do good to parents, and that ye slay not your children because of penury - We provide for you and for them - and that ye draw not nigh to lewd things whether open or concealed. And that ye slay not the life which Allah hath made sacred, save in the course of justice. This He hath command you, in order that ye may discern.

And approach not the wealth of the orphan save with that which is better, till he reach maturity. Give full measure and full weight, in justice. We task not any soul beyond its scope. And if ye give your word, do justice thereunto, even though it be (against) a kinsman; and fulfil the covenant of Allah. This He commandeth you that haply ye may remember.

And (He commandeth you, saying): This is My straight path, so follow it. Follow not other ways, lest ye be parted from His way. This hath He ordained for you, that ye may ward off (evil).

Again, We gave the Scripture unto Moses, complete for him who would do good, an explanation of all things, a guidance and a mercy, that they might believe in the meeting with their Lord.

And this is a blessed Scripture which We have revealed. So follow it and ward off (evil), that ye may find mercy.

Mankind were but one community;

Say (O Muslims), "We believe in Allah and that which has been sent down to us and that which has been sent down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and to Al-Asbat [the offspring of the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], and that which has been given to Musa (Moses) and 'Îsa (Jesus), and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted (in Islam)."
[quran 2:136]

Mankind were but one community; then they differed; and had it not been for a word that had already gone forth from thy Lord it had been judged between them in respect of that wherein they differ.[Quran 10:19]

Glory to Allah, Who created in pairs all things that the earth produces, as well as their own (human) kind and (other) things of which they have no knowledge. [quran 36:36]

"Besides Allah, and lead them to the Way to the (Fierce) Fire! [quran 37:23]

The Creatorof the heavens and the earth. He hath made for you pairs of yourselves, and of the cattle also pairs, whereby He multiplieth you. Naught is as His likeness; and He is the Hearer, the Seer. [quran 42:11]

And among His Signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that ye may dwell in tranquillity with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts): verily in that are Signs for those who reflect. [quran 30:21]

If ye punish, then punish with the like of that wherewith ye were afflicted. But if ye endure patiently, verily it is better for the patient.Endure thou patiently (O Muhammad). Thineendurance is only by (the help of) Allah. Grieve not for them, and be not in distress because of that which they devise. [quran 16:126-127]

He said: Our Lord is He Who gave to everything its creation, then guided it (to its goal).[quran 20:50]

This is the Book (the Qur'an), whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqun [the pious believers of Islamic Monotheism who fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained )]. Who believe in the Unseen, and establish worship, and spend of that We have bestowed upon them; [quran 2:2-3]

Turning unto Him (only); and be careful of your duty unto Him and establish worship, and be not of those who ascribe partners (unto Him); Of those who split up their religion and became schismatics, each sect exulting in its tenets.
[quran 30:31-32]

O mankind! Lo! the promise of Allah is true. So let not the life of the world beguile you, and let not the (avowed) beguiler beguile you with regard to Allah. [quran 35:5]

Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the apostles (before him).[quran 60:60-61

Allah (Amighty one true GOD) signs.

Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Who provideth for you from the sky and the earth, or Who owneth hearing and sight; and Who bringeth forth the living from the dead and bringeth forth the dead from the living; and Who directeth the course? They will say: Allah. Then say: Will ye not then keep your duty (unto Him) [quran 10:31]

And one of His signs is that He shows you the lightning for fear and for hope, and sends down water from the clouds then gives life therewith to the earth after its death; most surely there are signs in this for a people who understand And of His signs is this: The heavens and the earth stand fast by His command, and afterward, when He calleth you, lo! from the earth ye will emerge.
To Him belongs every being that is in the heavens and on earth: all are devoutly obedient to Him. He it is Who produceth creation, then reproduceth it, and it is easier for Him. His is the Sublime Similitude in the heavens and the earth. He is the Mighty, the Wise.
[quran 30]

He sends down water (rain) from the sky, and the valleys flow according to their measure, but the flood bears away the foam that mounts up to the surface - and (also) from that (ore) which they heat in the fire in order to make ornaments or utensils, rises a foam like unto it, thus does Allah (by parables) show forth truth and falsehood . Then, as for the foam it passes away as scum upon the banks, while that which is for the good of mankind remains in the earth. Thus Allah sets forth parables (for the truth and falsehood, i.e. Belief and disbelief).[quran 13:17]

The Arabic word Allah means God

The Arabic word Allah means God (the one and only true God who created the whole universe).

This wordAllah is a name for God, which is used by Arabic speakers, both Arab Muslims and Arab Christians. This word cannot be used to designate anything other than the one true God. The Arabic word Allah occurs in the Quran about 2700 times. In Aramaic, a language related closely to Arabic and the language that Jesus habitually spoke,

God is also referred to as Allah.

Say, “He is God, the One. God, to Whom the creatures turn for their needs. He begets not, nor was He begotten, and there is none like Him.” (Quran, 112:1-4)

No one has the right to be invoked, supplicated, prayed to, or shown any act of worship, but God alone.

God alone is the Almighty, the Creator, the Sovereign, and the Sustainer of everything in the whole universe. He manages all affairs. He stands in need of none of His creatures, and all His creatures depend on Him for all that they need. He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing, and the All-Knowing. In a perfect manner, His knowledge encompasses all things, the open and the secret, and the public and the private. He knows what has happened, what will happen, and how it will happen. No affair occurs in the whole world except by His will. Whatever He wills is, and whatever He does not will is not and will never be. His will is above the will of all the creatures. He has power over all things, and He is able to do everything. He is the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and the Most Beneficent. In one of the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad , we are told that God is more merciful to His creatures than a mother to her child.1 God is far removed from injustice and tyranny. He is All-Wise in all of His actions and decrees. If someone wants something from God, he or she can ask God directly without asking anyone else to intercede with God for him or her.

God is not Jesus, and Jesus is not God.2 Even Jesus himself rejected this.

God has said in the Quran:

Indeed, they have disbelieved who have said, “God is the Messiah (Jesus), son of Mary.” The Messiah said, “Children of Israel, worship God, my Lord and your Lord. Whoever associates partners in worship with God, then God has forbidden Paradise for him, and his home is the Fire (Hell). For the wrongdoers, there will be no helpers.” (Quran, 5:72)

God is not a trinity.

God has said in the Quran:

Indeed, they disbelieve who say, “God is the third of three (in a trinity),” when there is no god but one God. If they desist not from what they say, truly, a painful punishment will befall the disbelievers among them. Would they not rather repent to God and ask His forgiveness? For God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. The Messiah (Jesus), son of Mary, was no more than a messenger… (Quran, 5:73-75)

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim - SubhanAllah - Alhamdulillah - Laaa Ilaha Illallahu - Allahu Akbar

And He it is Who hath given independence to the two seas (though they meet); one palatable, sweet, and the other saltish, bitter; and hath set a bar and a forbidding ban between them.

And He it is Who hath created man from water, and hath appointed for him kindred by blood and kindred by marriage; for thy Lord is ever Powerful.

Yet they worship instead of Allah that which can neither benefit them nor hurt them. The disbeliever was ever a partisan against his Lord.

And We have sent thee (O Muhammad) only as a bearer of good tidings and a warner.

Say: I ask of you no reward for this, save that whoso will may choose a way unto his Lord.

And trust thou in the Living One Who dieth not, and hymn His praise. He sufficeth as the Knower of His bondmen's sins,

Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six Days, then He mounted the Throne. The Beneficent! Ask anyone informed concerning Him!

And when it is said unto them: Prostrate to the Beneficent! they say: And what is the Beneficent? Are we to prostrate to whatever thou (Muhammad) biddest us? And it increaseth aversion in them.

Blessed be He Who hath placed in the heaven mansions of the stars, and hath placed therein a great lamp and a moon giving light!

And He it is Who hath appointed night and day in succession, for him who desireth to remember, or desireth thankfulness

The (faithful) slaves of the Beneficent are they who walk upon the earth modestly, and when the foolish ones address them answer: Peace;

And who spend the night before their Lord, prostrate and standing,

And who say: Our Lord! Avert from us the doom of hell; lo! the doom thereof is anguish;

Lo! it is wretched as abode and station;

And those who, when they spend, are neither prodigal nor grudging; and there is ever a firm station between the two;

And those who cry not unto any other god along with Allah, nor take the life which Allah hath forbidden save in (course of) justice, nor commit adultery - and whoso doeth this shall pay the penalty;

The doom will be doubled for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein disdained for ever;

Save him who repenteth and believeth and doth righteous work; as for such, Allah will change their evil deeds to good deeds. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.

And those who will not witness vanity, but when they pass near senseless play, pass by with dignity.

And those who, when they are reminded of the revelations of their Lord, fall not deaf and blind thereat.

And who say: Our Lord! Vouchsafe us comfort of our wives and of our offspring, and make us patterns for (all) those who ward off (evil).

They will be awarded the high place forasmuch as they were steadfast, and they will meet therein with welcome and the ward of peace,

Abiding there for ever. Happy is it as abode and station!

Say (O Muhammad, unto the disbelievers): My Lord would not concern Himself with you but for your prayer. But now ye have denied (the Truth), therefor there will be judgment.
