Admissions Tests is Monday 3rd September.

The Schools' Open Evenings will take place on
28th June 2018 (North Halifax)
and 26th June 2018 (Crossley Heath)

Important Dates

2018        


Monday 16th April 

Parents can register their daughter/son for the admissions tests by completing an on-line registration form from either of the school websites or by downloading the form or requesting a hard copy of the form and sending it back to the school. On-line applications will be acknowledged via email. Postal applications will require a stamped addressed envelope for acknowledgment.

Tuesday 26th June          

The Crossley Heath School Open Evening 5.00pm - 8.00pm

Thursday 28th June

North Halifax Grammar School Open Evening 4.00pm - 7.00pm

Friday 1st September 

Registration deadline for the admissions test 

Mon 17th September

Parents will have received information about the venue and timetable for the admissions tests.

Sat 29th September

Admissions tests, 9.30am - 12.30pm at North Halifax Grammar School  and The Crossley Heath School. 

Friday 26th October

Parents will have received the results of the admissions tests (the order of merit) but this will not constitute an offer of a place.

Wed 31st October

Deadline for the submission of the Online Common Application Form (CAF) to Calderdale LA and neighbouring Local Authorities. Either or both of the grammar schools must be included as one of the five preferences to be considered for a place at the grammar school(s).

2019

Friday 1st March

Offer of a place at a secondary school distributed to parents by the home Local Authority.

Friday 15th  March 

Deadline for lodging an appeal against the non-offer of a place at a school which was included as a preference on the CAF and requests for re-allocation.
