Connie Hutchison writes free verse and haiku, and sings with the Kirkland Choral Society. Her haiku has appeared in Modern Haiku, Frogpond, Brussels Sprout, Timepieces, and Chiyo’s Corner. through the open hatch
   the idle slap of rigging
   and cool night air

sanctuary tour
       as if on cue:
a flock of chickadees
