Numerology

In the beginning, there was nothing.  Zero (0).

After a very long time, something appeared.  A singularity.  The one (1).

Sometime later, the singularity imagined addition... 0 + 1 = 1.  And addition was good.

Pleased with the concept of addition, number was next conceived: 1 + 1 = 2.  And number was good.

High on the concept of addition, yet another number was imagined: 1 + 2 = 3.   It was a prime conception.

And then numbers spewed forth without end:
  • 2 + 3 = 5
  • 3 + 5 = 8
  • 5 + 8 = 13
  • 8 + 13 = 21 ...

(In case you haven't noticed, this is the Fibonacci sequence.  Examples can be found in life all around you now!)
