Dara FisherSecretary [fisherdr [at] mit [dot] edu].  Dara is a second-year SM Candidate in the Technology and Policy Program in the Engineering Systems Division.  Her research is sponsored through the MIT-Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) collaboration, for which she aids in development of co-curricular activities and programming for students at the newly-founded SUTD.  Her thesis work is related to the merits of integrating leadership into engineering curricula in higher education, and she hopes to continue her studies with a PhD in engineering education after completing her TPP degree.

Dara joined GWAMIT in hopes of helping to create connections between the graduate and undergraduate women communities here at MIT.  Dara believes that graduate women have the opportunity to serve as incredible role models within the MIT community, and she hopes to spread the resources of GWAMIT and its membership into different areas across the Institute.  In addition to her role as GWAMIT secretary, Dara serves as the co-President of the Technology and Policy Student Society, as a group moderator for the TPP introductory leadership course, and as a trivia host at the Thirsty Ear Pub in Ashdown House.
