This site presents a proposal to improve travel in Guildford by linking the train station to the main university campus, the hospital, the research park, the university manor park campus and Surrey Sports Park.

By running an ultra light rail system in west Guildford, these linked location which cause a large amount of road traffic will, for the first time, be well-served by public transport. By running the railway from the existing railway station, commuting to the hospital or research park by train will be much more attractive than at present.

This site exists to promote discussion on the merits (or otherwise) of building such a light railway. The site is run by someone who thinks that it would be a good idea, and any help from engineers, project managers, transport consultants is most welcome.
