Guided City Hikes - April 2009

The physical experience of distance is measure.

Guided City Hikes explores the translation of a wilderness hiking concept into an urban context.

I invite the viewer to participate in art making in the form of a physical experience:

Over a period of three weeks I will guide eight hiking tours, from Boston’s School of the Museum of Fine Art to Tufts University's Art Gallery.
Each tour will be following a different route, exploring urban terrain by walking through a wide variety of landscapes: through parks and past
wastelands, through industrial areas and past shopping malls, through affluent and less affluent neighborhoods.
We will climb mountains, cross the river, enjoy scenic views and picnic along the way....
