Applications for Absentee Ballots for 2016 Elections may be accepted starting on January 1, 2016.
You must request separately for each election in 2016, that you want to vote absentee.

The Ohio Secretary of State will be mailing absentee applications to all active registered voters for the November 8, 2016 Presidential General Election. Voters should receive the application via mail beginning in September 2016. 
Our office must have a valid absentee application on file for each election before we can mail a ballot to the voter.

Absentee Voting for the Presidential General Election 
UOCAVA (Military and Overseas) absentee voting begins: Saturday, September 24, 2016
Non-UOCAVA absentee voting (by mail or in-person) begins: Wednesday, October 12, 2016

Special Office Hours for Absentee Voting

Week 1 & 2: October 12, 2016 through October 21, 2016, Monday - Friday 8 A.M. to 5 P.M.

Week 3: October 24, 2016 through October 30, 2016, Monday- Friday 8 A.M. to 6 P.M., Saturday 8 A.M. to 4 P.M., Sunday 1 P.M. to 5 P.M.

Week 4: October 31, 2016 through November 6, 2016, Monday- Friday 8 A.M. to 7 P.M., Saturday 8 A.M. to 4 P.M., Sunday 1 P.M. to 5 P.M.

Election Week: November 7, 2016, Monday 8 A.M to 2 P.M.
Deadline for In-Person Absentee Voting is Monday, November 7, 2016 at 2 P.M. 

No one may pick up a ballot for another voter. Only the voter may receive their own ballot.
Dead-line to receive the application for an Absentee Ballot to be mailed to the voter.
Application must be received at the Board of Elections no later than 12:00 NOON Saturday, November 5, 2016.
If mailing, you should allow enough time (minimum 5-7 days) for the postal service to deliver your application to our office, and for our office to send your ballot to you. 
By law, voted Absentee Ballots that you return to us by mail must be postmarked by (Monday, November 7, 2016 to be counted for the November 8, 2016 Presidential General Election). 
Your voted Absentee Ballot may be hand carried in to our office on Election Day, Tuesday, November 8, 2016 by 7:30 P.M.
