We are pleased that you are interested in Guardian Angel-St. Boniface School. At GASB we know the importance of a good education and the impact it can have on your children’s lives. We want to help you educate your child both intellectually and spiritually in an environment that is wholesome and nurturing.
Guardian Angel-St. Boniface School is a parochial school system, which offers educationally sound curricula in the elementary grades K through 8 to families of Uniontown, Colton and surrounding areas. We are currently staffed by a certified lay faculty and the student-teacher ratio is approximately 8 students per teacher. This facilitates individualized attention to particular learning capacities and levels, as well as providing multiple learning experiences for all the students.
Our school has accreditations with the Washington State Superintendent of Public Instruction, the Western Catholic Educational Association, and the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools. We are also certified by the Washington State Board of Education as a private school and are a member of the National Catholic Education Association and Western Catholic Education Association.
Guardian Angel - St. Boniface School’s students and faculty are closely connected to the local parishes: St. Gall’s in Colton, WA and St. Boniface’s in Uniontown, WA. The local communities support our school and are very active in its daily functions as well as its fundraisers. We also believe that it is very important for our students to be active in the community and in the service of others.
We are very fortunate to stay abreast of technology. We were excited last year to implement new touchscreen laptop computers and iPads in classrooms. Other products such as a Power Point projector and a Smart Board provide new avenues for the students to demonstrate their learning.
Over 100 years of Catholic School tradition is revived each morning when the school bell rings, and Guardian Angel-St. Boniface students begin their day with prayer. Though “youthfully” unaware of the precious heritage they share, the majority of pupils who are currently enrolled represent third, fourth, and even fifth generation families that have attended the school. The school’s philosophy goes a step beyond basic educational objectives. It is dedicated to providing a Christian atmosphere in which students may learn and develop a realistic appreciation of their own worth and the dignity of others.
Enclosed you will find information about GASB and procedures for applying for admission. It is very important that we have complete and accurate records. Please read through the enclosed information carefully and feel free to call the school if you have any questions. We look forward to welcoming your family to our family.
