PreCleaning & After Care

Parking

We will need to park our mobile cleaning unit as close to a door as possible. Kindly leave us a space and move any vehicles that we may block in if you will need them while we are there. It is difficult to move our van once we start cleaning.

Pets

If you have pets, you should be aware that at least one door will be ajar while we are working. If you are concerned that pets may get out, you may want to close them in a room and let us know if you want us to let them out before we leave.

PreCleaning Checklist

Here are some suggestions to help Guaranteed Carpet Services clean your carpet most effectively and efficiently:
  • Advise your Cleaning Technician about any special furniture moving considerations: weak legs, loose tops, etc.
  • Vacuum your traffic areas before we arrive.
  • Pin up full length draperies so that they will be at least 6 inches from the carpet.
  • Pin up skirts on upholstered furniture which may touch the carpet.
  • Remove all breakable items from furniture which will have to be moved during carpet cleaning process.
  • Any small pieces of furniture such as dining room chairs, magazine racks, etc. that you can remove from the carpet to be cleaned will shorten processing time and return the carpet to normal use sooner.
  • China cabinets cannot be moved unless completely emptied of all breakables. However, carpet underneath such cabinets can be hand cleaned where sufficient room is available, or we can edge around the base.
  • Mark with notes or point out to your Cleaning Technician any spots or stains which may require special techniques and identify staining agent if possible. He has specialized training in handling these concerns.

Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment , please try to give us as much notice as possible so another job can be scheduled in that time slot. We appreciate your understanding.

A special note about odors 

Also, for several days after cleaning you may notice an elevated odor due to higher humidity levels.

We do everything possible to reduce or eliminate pet odors. However, if there is a great deal of contamination, 100% success may not be attainable. We do offer advanced levels of odor removal! Please ask your Cleaning Technician for more information.

After Care Information

  • Please leave plastic "tabs" and styrofoam "blocks" under your furniture for 24 hours after cleaning. If it is physically difficult for you to remove the tabs, please call us and we'll help.
  • For your children's and pet's safety, please do not let them crawl or lay on the carpets until they are completely dry.
  • Some deep-set oiling and protein stains will be removed during cleaning, but over a period of time they may "resurface" from the backing or the pad. If this happens, just give us a call. We have a special reduced spotting rate for "recurring stains."
