I am the Lower School Technology Coordinator at Brentwood School in Los Angeles, CA. Brentwood School is a K-12 independent school in Los Angeles. I have the best job in the world!! It is my pleasure to teach computer classes to grades K-6 at the Lower School. We are a Google Apps for Ed school and start using Google Docs with students in grade three. In computer class, we use a variety of computer based as well as web-based tools to create projects directly related to the grade level curriculum. Check out the Ed Tech page on our school's website (http://www.bwscampus.com/lower/educational-technology/index.aspx) & check out our Symbaloo page at (bwslshub.symbaloo.com).
Prior to Brentwood School, I was the Director of Technology at The Archer School for Girls. I started at Archer in 2000 teaching Information & Media Literacy, Web Design and Animation to girls in grades 6 - 12. In 2008, I moved into the position of Director of Technology and helped move Archer forward with using digital tools in the classroom to enhance teaching and learning. While there, I implemented a 1 to 1 laptop program that provided anytime access to students.
My favorite "ah-ha" Google moment in San Antonio at the GTA10 was when I finally saw all of the pieces come together. Brilliant!!! I am thrilled to be a part of such an amazing group!!!!Contact Information
