Julene Reed

I am the Director of Academic Technology at St. George's Independent School in Collierville,TN. I'm an Apple Distinguished Educator, a Google Certified Teacher, and a Discovery STAR educator. In addition, I am on the Advisory Council for Dr. Jane Goodall's Roots & Shoots, and am also on the Advisory Council for Polar Bears International. I am the director of Polar Bears International’s “Tundra Connections” which involves distance learning opportunities and interdisciplinary curriculum related to polar bears and climate change. I am also the Director of Tennis for Memphis Special Olympics. 

I am actively involved with both global education and educational technology. I give keynote addresses, workshops, and other professional development training to educators, administrators, and service leaders internationally. I have authored educational content for the Apple Learning Interchange as well as other educational publications. My passion is to make a difference in the world—especially through global initiatives, educational technology, and my work with Dr. Jane Goodall's organization and Polar Bears International.

I received my Masters of Education in the area of Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Memphis and my Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Kansas.
