Christina is studying for an MFA in Design and Technology at Parsons in New York City. Her interests are in educational media - digital and analog - and currently include comics, game design and cartography. She has worked as a tech coach since 2007 at IS 339, a public middle school in the Bronx that has been recognized for its schoolwide technology systems, including the integration of Google Applications into all aspects of teaching and learning; collaborative planning strategies; the implementation of technology-oriented projects like podcasting and student-run businesses; and student productions, including a school newsblog and social networking in the classroom. IS 339 has been featured in The New York Times, and will be appearing on the PBS documentary show Frontline in Spring 2009.
