Why is the registration due on the last day of school?
All bus registration forms and resolution forms should be returned to the Superintendent's office by the last day of school. This practice gives us sufficient time to process all the documents and mark children as "eligible for transportation" in our database. After this process is completed, bus routes can be created that can get all eligible children to school in a timely fashion.
It has been our experience that families who neglect to return bus applications promptly have forgotten about them during the summer, and routes have already been created when the family realizes that they never signed up. Doing so often causes the family to be displeased with the available stops. Remember: any child who has not registered will not be assigned to a bus stop, and will not receive a bus pass. Bus passes are required to ride the bus.
