A Message from Facilities Management:

EFFECT: There will be very limited chilled water service available for campus buildings to control building temperatures. Outside air will be used to control temperatures, but if the warm weather continues during the spring break period, building temperatures could be a little warm. Accommodations are being made to provide chilled water for the data centers in Engineering/Public Policy buildings, animal/fish facilities in Schwartz Hall/Biology building and HHMI in the Chemistry building. WHY: The chilled water outage is necessary for installation of several very large valves in the chilled water system at the Central Plant to (i) accommodate an energy conservation project and (ii) facilitate the connection of the Performing Arts & Humanities Building to the centralplant.

THANK YOU for tolerance during these inconvenient outages, which are needed to perform work for future energy reduction and to connect the new building to the campus infrastructure. Your patience and cooperation are truly appreciated.
