Gerald J Rodgers

Gerald first joined the Choir as Assistant Pianist/Organist in September 1977
and retired from this position after 25 years in November 2002.
Sponsored by the senior Choir, a Boys Choir was formed in September 1996
and Gerald was asked to act as its pianist, a position he held until recently
when the Boys Choir was unfortunately suspended until further notice due to reduced membership

Since January 2009 Gerald has  played for the Wednesday practices and assists on Friday practices also.
He is now taking part in Choir concerts by playing the organ as in his earlier appointment.
Gerald completes 40 years service to the choir in 2017.

He also holds the post as Organist of the Newhall Methodist Church
to which he was appointed in August 1947!!

Gerald celebrated his 90th birthday at rehearsal on 10th January 2018
We all wish Gerald a wonderful day and hope we are able to celebrate many more with him!
