We invite you to attend the Green Telecom and IT workshop, jointly organized by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and Bell Labs 

to be held on April 4th and April 5th, 2012. The workshop will be hosted at the IISc campus ( in Bangalore, India. 

*      The goal of the workshop at IISc is to expose the participants to the most pertinent research programs in Green Telecom and facilitate collaborations.

*      There will be 5 workshop sessions on the topics Green Access, Routers & Transport, Green Devices, Energy Harvested networks, and Green data centres

*      The opening keynote will be delivered by Dr. Gee Rittenhouse, Chairman of the Board of Directors of GreenTouch, COO of Software, Solutions and Services and Former Head of Bell Labs Research at Alcatel-Lucent. The speakers of the workshop sessions are distinguished experts on the subject.

*      The workshop sessions on April 4th will be followed by a Panel discussion The Innovation Opportunity, and need, for green telecommunications in India’

 Venue on April 4th is the Satish Dhawan Auditorium, Venue on April 5th is the  Golden Jubilee Hall, ECE Dept at IISc
