Abeda Ganga Mayya Trust under the leadership of Swami Samvidanand took part in the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the flood affected villages of Uttarakand and to  take care of the education of the children who have lost their parents. We adopted 33 poor widows From Phata, Khat, Triyugi Narayan, Badarsu, Ookhimut, and Kalimut, in Rudraprayag District.  We visited the villages, counselled the shattered minds of the hapless people of the area and gave them the basic support like food, medicine etc. We have conducted medical camps in several villages in Utharakhand under Dr Raghavan. 

     Reconstructed the temporary  bridge to  – Vijay Nagar and silli Bridge, which is the only link for thousands of Villagers like  patients, students and adults who need to travel outside the village for treatment, education and work.The bridge is practically their access to life.Niv Art and Cultural Centre was our partner in reconstructing the Chandapuri -Vijaya Nagar bridge.ONGC was our partner in the reconstruction of Silli bridge.

Utharakhand Flood PunarvasanPrakalp is all about rebuilding together the lives of 60 selected families. This involves improving the livelihood through multifaceted projects each year, free of charge. We bring together corporate partners, government and non-government agencies, national and local leaders, skilled trade associations, and 100 volunteers a year to make a difference in the communities we serve. We believe that everyone deserves to live in a safe and healthy environment.

Our activities can be summarised as follows:-


1.  2. We have  started reconstruction work at Gaurikund and Barsu village.We are constructing five buildings at Gaurikund where the government suffered the heaviest losses; these buildings are to be used for the wireless operation of the government and the rescue of travelers / tourists during emergency situations. 


3.Planning to construct  60 eco-friendly houses for the extremely needy families who lost their breadwinners.As the winter has already arrived suitable shelter is crucial for them.
