Green Building Contractor Training Institute

The Green Building Contractor Training Institute is a workshop series for Metro Boston building contractors interested in learning more about sustainable construction practices and green building business opportunities.  The first workshop in the series was initially offered in Oct and Dec 2010.
 
GREEN BUILDING 101 FOR CONTRACTORS - 
    
Green Building 101 was a full-day workshop providing a general introduction to green building         concepts, techniques and materials, including the impact of various building certification systems on building contractor businesses, and the implications of various credentials for their employees.

INTRODUCTION TO SOLAR THERMAL FOR CONTRACTORS - 
Intro to Solar Thermal was a full‐day workshop providing a general overview of solar thermal technology and its applications. Content covered included system design, installation and inspection; a market overview of policy drivers and incentives; and information on how to build a solar thermal business, including info about training, marketing, pricing and profit margins.
