Generation Earth/Tree People

Generation Earth is an environmental education program of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works presented by TreePeople. They provide development training and personalized support to secondary school teachers and students in Los Angeles County. The approach is to encourage and assist those who want to make a difference in their local environment through campus and community eco-projects.

Jefferson High School is grateful for the support that Generation Earth and Tree People are providing the school.  In December of 2010, with their help, Jefferson High School received a donation of 25 fruit trees from the Fruit Tree Foundation (sponsored by Fruitabu) that were planted in the school's Preciado Garden.  RootDown LA also helped with the planting as they will be key partners with harvesting the fruit!
