Pumpkin Spice was found as a stray and she brought her Rescuer to the abandoned house she was living with the puppies.
They went to Detroit animal care and control (DACC) for stray hold and we were then able to pick them up. She was found by Erin a friend/vet tech at GLBB's vet. The vet called GLBB right away to see if we had room.

Pumpkin is ready to start looking for her forever (or foster). She has come so far since being found in an abandoned house in Detroit with her 8 three week old babies back in early October. She is utd, spayed and microchipped. She recently finished heartworm treatment, woo hoo! Pumpkin would prefer to be an only dog and allowed on the couch is a must 😂.

She is crate trained and potty trained too. Pumpkin still has some balance issues, unfortunately permanent damage from a severe double ear infection when rescued but that doesn’t stop her from being a grade A snuggle butt. If you could be Pumpkins forever message us or fill out our adoption/foster application
❤️

***UPDATE***

This morning we went to Dogwood veterinary to follow up on her CT results and to see what our next step is for her. First the good news: CT scan was clear so one small victory! That means her ears are completely healed and the suspicion they are causing her balance issues is not correct. The neurologist feels pretty confident it is most like a brain related issue. So now we wait on a genetic test to see if she has a mutated gene called MDR1. We are also starting a new medication to help with her dizziness. Once we get those results we will know what our next step is. Most likely a spinal tap 😩. Thank you to all who have donated, shared and/or sent prayers and asked how she’s doing. We can’t thank you enough for all the love and support you have shown Pumpkin. Her future care will be quite costly (spinal tap estimate alone: $300-$600).
