Job vacancy: Parish Clerk

 Applications are invited for the post of Parish Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer. The role will include overseeing the administration and expenditure of the Parish Council, communicating with principal authorities and other organisations, managing the meeting process, preparing reports, and other duties including dealing with contractors and liaising with residents.

The ideal candidate will be IT literate with excellent communication skills, willing to undertake specific Parish Clerk training, have the ability to take notes during meetings as well as directing Councillors on procedural matters and an ability to be flexible with regard to the needs of the job. Some evening work required.

Days and times of working are flexible, however you will be expected to complete up to 10.5 hours per week. Salary in accordance with experience and commensurate with Local Government pay scales.
