In this interactive workshop, participants will journey through songs from childhood in South Korea — from traditional folk tunes to playful children’s songs, contemporary favorites, and original compositions. Through the Orff process, we will bring these songs to life with singing, movement, body percussion, and instrumental play, discovering ways to make cultural repertoire accessible, creative, and joyful for all students. The session will provide cultural and linguistic insights while encouraging reflection on how to adapt these approaches to other music you wish to share, ultimately honoring and exploring diverse cultural identities through music-making.
