Cycling doesn't get any tougher than this, but we never, ever quit !

Welcome to the site of The Great Dun Fell Challenge.

In The Great Dun Fell Challenge cyclists unite to gather funds in support of cancer recovery. They also seek to share their inspiration about living life to the fullest, even when that seems an uphill battle. The struggle to conquer the Great Dun Fell 10 times in a single day (!!!!) symbolizes the sheer impossible task that cancer patients undertake every day to live life in spite of a disease.  Individual  participants cycle up the mountain ten times each; teams pool their efforts to total at least ten runs.

And remember, you have to climb the mountain to enjoy the view !

On June 3rd 2011 the Great Dun Fell will be the scene of this incredible challenge. The climb starts in Dufton, at 159 m altitude. The top is reached after 9 km, at the altitude of 848 m.

The Great Dun Fell Challenge is an initiative from Inspire2live. Inspire2Live will always appeal to those who share our belief – that to push their limits will make their own lives and that of others better. The Inspire2live events raise money for the national cancer research funds. The Great Dun Fell Challenge is an event in aid of Cancer Research UK.
