The 2026 Great Bay Spring Fling Compete USA Competition will take place on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at the Dover Ice Arena, 110 Portland Avenue, Dover, New Hampshire. Hosted by Great Bay Figure Skating Club, this event welcomes skaters from across New Hampshire and neighboring states for a fun, supportive, and professionally run competition experience.
Open to eligible Learn to Skate USA and U.S. Figure Skating members, the Spring Fling provides a positive and structured competitive opportunity for athletes from Snowplow Sam through Preliminary, Bronze, and Adult levels.
Even Snowplow Sam and Basic Skills skaters can compete!
Whether this is a skater’s very first competition or one of many, the Spring Fling is designed to celebrate progress, build confidence, and create an exciting day on the ice.
This competition is open to ALL skaters who are current members in good standing of either Learn to Skate USA, and/or are full members of U.S. Figure Skating (including Aspire).
Age and badge and/or test level are as of April 4, 2026. Adult events are open to those 18 years of age and older.
Skaters in Snowplow Sam - Basic 6 events may skate at highest level passed OR one level higher BUT not both levels in the same event during the same competition.
For all Snowplow Sam and Basic Skills 1 - 6 level skaters, NO official U.S. Figure Skating tests may have been passed including Skating Skills or individual dances. For other levels, the athlete may select their level based on their goals and technical skills as long as the minimum test requirements are met.
Pre-Free Skate through Free Skate 6 skaters may skate in an Aspire level or Pre-Preliminary. For Preliminary Plus Excel, and Preliminary Well-Balanced levels, skaters may compete at their test level or one level up but may not compete at a level lower than their competitive base.
Skate United events are for skaters with physical disabilities. Skate United skaters have the option to compete in the standard track or Skate United track; accommodations may be made upon request.
If offered for the level, each competitor may enter only one category for each event as follows: Compulsory Elements, Compulsory Program, Spins Challenge, Jumps Challenge, Free Skate Program.
Entry fees are per person, in U.S. dollars as follows:
First event: $65.00
Each additional event: $25.00
