ISE Innovative Astrology Program

Astrology Software based on
an innovative and never-before-seen synoptical method

Astrology Software - Inner Sky Electrum

We know lots of excellent softwares in the field of astrology, however,

we still felt that something was missing.

Let's consider Tropical and Sidereal Zodiacs together with the REAL stellar Constellations,

Arabic, Chinese, Indian, Scythian Lunar Mansions,

providing data in an almost 11000-year interval - between 5400 BC and 5400 AD -

with the accuracy of the Swiss Ephemeris meeting all requirements.

All needed astrological and astronomical data can be easily displayed.

To be well-informed about Inner Sky Electrum, you must see the

screenshots, printable demo chart wheels and the demo videos.

(!!!The videos can be watched in HD quality too!!!)

This place is enough only for some features.

Our astrological program consists of four modules, which are connected

with a Birth/Event Databank expandable practically with no limits, also

with a Birth/Event Input Panel considerably supporting a vast geographical

database and all necessary time conversions, as well as more kinds of Time Step Panels.

We would have liked as much information as possible to be on display, but it

is restricted by the screen surface. We have got an idea to solve this

problem: all displayed items can be turned transparent to some extent

with the aid of a trackbar.

The positions of the planets can be indicated in four different systems:

Topocentric Apparent, which is connected to the actual place of the

birth/event - not taking the problem of light transmission speed into

consideration. Topocentric Theoretic, which is connected to the actual

place of the birth/event - taking the problem of light transmission

speed into consideration.

Geocentric Apparent, which is connected to the centre of the Earth - not

taking the problem of light transmission speed into consideration.

Geocentric Theoretic, which is connected to the centre of the Earth

- taking the problem of light transmission speed into consideration.

The colours of planets reflect the traditional dignities in case of the seven

'ancient' planets: blue - peregrine, grey - detriment, yellow - domicile,

mauve - fall, red - exalted. We do not pay attention to dignities in case of

the transsaturnals, the Dragon Head, the Dragon Tail and the Lunar Apogee

(Lilith) and Perigee positions, these are always blue.

(When comparing the Topo- and Geocentric planet data mainly the differences

of lunar positions are significant because of the parallax caused by

the proximity of Moon.)

One or two horoscopes can be on display at the same time in the Main Module

with or without a selected house system. The exterior and interior horoscopes

are interchangeable with just one click (Chart swap).

The innermost zodiac is always the tropical (related to the Vernal Equinox)

system, the second can be of course the equisectorial sidereal (jyotish)

context - you can choose from more than twenty ayanamshas, what is more, the

user's own ayanamsha is also possible to be input if needed.

It is a unique option that the equisectorial sidereal zodiac is convertible

into inequisectorial, in fact, in two ways. - It is this writer who is the

author of a theory about the non-equal division of true constellation sectors.

Briefly about it: a constellation sector is opened by the first 'fixed' star

(in the direction of the planets' common moving) that is clearly belonging to

the given constellation and traditionally considered so. The sector is bordered

by the first 'marker' star of the next constellation. The ecliptic plane

divides the sectors into northern and southern regions in some cases e. g.

Aries - Taurus or Aquarius - Pisces, so, for example, a planet with northern

ecliptic latitude enters the constellation of Pisces much sooner than one with

southern latitude - in this system.

It is an interesting detail that we introduced the determination of dynamic

degrees (with attention to the problem of the sectors divided by the ecliptic

plane), which can be listed or asked for with a cursor click and of course

you can list them too.

There are more than 200 stars, which are visible to the naked eye, in the

outermost track containing actual constellations and their most important data

(traditional name, Bayer-letter, longitude, latitude, visual magnitude) can be

asked for with a cursor click. This is where the planets move in 'their reality'

and where the Equinoctial and Solsticial Points, the Apex and Antapex, the

Centre of the Galaxy, the Milky Way and - if needed - the imitated scintillation

can be shown as an option.

It is a unique possibility too that in the zone of the sidereal zodiacs the users

can display 12 kinds of Lunar Mansions with both theriomorphic pictograms

and traditional symbols. (Demo film!)

One of the most special and unique attribute of our software is that it offers

the option to display above the constellations their illustrations extracted

from old star atlases or other sources. You can admire the anthropomorphic and

theriomorphic ways of representation in the European culture (Hevelius,

Grotius and Kircher's 'occult' one), the Arabic ideas (Abd al-Wahid,

Abu Ma'shar, As-Sufi), the zodiacs from archaic Egypt (Esna, Athribis,

Denderah), the (reconstructed) Sumerian constellation system, that of

India or even the depictions from the Chinese Lunar Mansion system

(based on the constellations).

While creating Inner Sky Electrum 1.0.0 we also had the aim of emancipating

the Vertex-Antivertex axis. The First Vertical as the determining main

circle of the Toposphere has got important role besides the Horizon

and the Meridian.

I. Pisces star sign and the Egyptian Zodiacs (Dendera, Esna, Athribis)

Inner Sky Electrum Synoptical Astrology Software can display not only the known Mediaval Star Maps (Hevelius, Grotius, Dürer etc.), but it can consider the Egyptian Zodiacs, the Esna, Athribis and Denderah (Dendera) Zodiacs too. In this short blog entry I will present the Egyptian depictions of the Fish (Pisces) star sign (or/and stellar constellation), displaying of course by ISE astrology software; comparing them with the well-known European illustration(s) may be instructive for us.

The depiction of the Athribis Zodiac is vertically arranged and it visualize the motion of the northern and southern Fish in opposite directions.

In the Esna Zodiac the two Fish are within an other context, at the same level, even the ’thread’ appears, but connecting the mouths (thus evoking the ’fishing’ symbolism).

In the case of the Dendera Zodiac, the ’thread’ is putting in its ’proper place’ (as we know nowadays), it is fixed to the fish’s tails, and the peak of the pointed angle appearing below involves ’The Knot of Heaven, the fixed star named alpha Piscium (al Rescha). What is so special about this illustration, is that the presence of a pictogram with quadratic contour between the two fish bodies, which emphasizes the presence of the humid and fluidic quality. This pictogram represents probably the Great Square of Pegasus (of course, in the reality, it is above the Pisces), and the stars that make up this square are Scheat, Alpheratz, Markab and Algenib.

II. The elephant headed Lion and the Turtle as Indian zodiac symbols

We have been viewing and discussing some unique features of Inner Sky Electrum Innovative Astrology Software.

One of these features that this program can display a lot of illustrations of Old Sky Maps, Sky Atlases and historical Zodiacs.

Illustrations to be displayed in the celestial sphere zone: Hevelius, Grotius, Kircher, Abu Ma'shar, Abd al-Wahid, As-Sufi, Indian, Esna, Denderah, Athribis, reconstructed Sumerian-Babylonian, Chinese constellational lunar mansions…

Now we would like to focus on some interesting characteristics of the displayed Indian Zodiac.

ISE astrological software used these horoscope paintings from Gujarat to create the zodiac images and it applies an elephant headed Lion.

This mixed lion that borrows head features from an elephant is known as Gajasimha in the Hindu religion and Art.

An other interesting trait that the Cancer zodiac sign (or/and constellation) is represented on these above mentioned paintings as a Turtle. I attached here the figure created by ISE astrology software.

(However, it is well-known that in many Native American cultures the Turtle represents the Mother of Earth…)

But to understand this Cancer-Turtle analogy within the context of the Hindu mythology, let us evoke the symbolic story about the churning of the Cosmic Milky Ocean.

„Churning of the milky ocean was an elaborate process. The churning tool or dasher was Mount Mandrachal and Vasuki, the king of serpents was the churning rope. Devatas holding the tail and asuras holding the head of Vasuki, started churning, alternatively rotating Mount Mandrachal. However, Mandrachal after mounting in the ocean, began to sink. Vishnu in the form of turtle (Kurma Avatar of his second incarnation) supported the mountain on his back. The first product emerged during the churning of the ocean was Halahala (Poison) which was swallowed by Lord Shiva. Followed by Halahala, various other products emerged and the list of products vary from one Purana to another. Finally, Dhanvantari, the heavenly physician emerged with a pot of Amrita, the nectar of immortality.”

And we know the main astrological meaning of the Cancer principle: like this mythical Turtle, it is the basis of all manifestations, a constant support under the water…

I. On the Mayan Prophecies

The Long Count's "zero date"was set at a point in the past marking the end of the third world and the beginning of the current one, which corresponds to 11 August 3114 BC in the propleptic Gregorian calendar. This means that the fourth world will also have reached the end of its 13th b'ak'tun, or Mayan date, on 21 December 2012.

Let's have a peek at these dates by means of a synoptical astrology software called Inner Sky Electrum, the unique astrological tool displaying tropical and sidereal zodiacs together with the true stellar constellations.

II. On the Beginning of the Kali Yuga

There are several index dates to determine the beginning of the Kali-Yuga. According to the  Surya Siddhanta, Kali Yuga began at midnight (00:00) on 18 February 3102 BCE in the proleptic Julian calendar, or 23 January 3102 BCE in the proleptic Gregorian calendar. This date is also considered by many Hindus to be the day that Krishna left Earth to return to his abode. Tradition says that the planets Saturn, Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Mercury and the Sun and the Moon were all situated near the nakshatra Revati.  (According to Surya Siddhanta and Jyotisa sastra)

With Inner Sky Electrum Synoptical Astrology Software we can display the whole celestial schema

(inside: tropical zodiac, in the middle: sidereal vedic lunar mansions (Nakshatra), outermost zone: true stellar constellations along the Ecliptic).

III. Famous historical Solar Eclipse in China

Inner Sky Electrum Synoptical Astrology Software is a powerful piece of software with capabilities not found in any other astrology program. We will display by means of some famous historical eclipses to demonstrate how powerful is this tool.

We have attached the chartweel of the famous phenomenon from April 20, 899 B.C., called China’s ‘Double-Dawn’ eclipse. It was an annular solar eclipse that occurred immediately after the sunrise and it was visible from the eastern region of China.

’During the first year of the reign of King Yi, in the first month of spring, the sun rose twice at Zheng.’

- from the Bamboo Annals

...and with Chinese lunar mansions (Xiu) too:
