The Greater Rochester Area Tobacco Cessation Center (GRATCC) is one of 19 Cessation Centers around New York State funded by the NYS Department of Health Tobacco Control Program. GRATCC serves 5 counties in the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York, including: Monroe, Seneca, Ontario, Wayne and Livingston counties. Partners include all local tobacco control community coalitions, the Greater Rochester Area Smoking Program, New York State Quitline, and county Departments of Health in participating counties.
GRATCC uses evidence-based resources and programs to assist health care providers in the design and implementation of office-based systems that identify and effectively treat tobacco dependence, according to the Department of Health and Human Services Clinical Practice Guidelines.

To improve the health of the residents of Monroe, Livingston, Ontario, Seneca and Wayne counties by training providers in these counties to design and implement systems to identify tobacco users at every patient encounter and provide brief advice to quit. We will provide resources for providers to quickly and easily refer their patients to cessation services in the area.
