The Road We’ve Traveled

Organizing for America Video

As Obama’s staunchest supporters we do not want to be taken for granted or told just to take orders. We want to remain a political and social force for change. One option, in order to keep some control of the grassroots’ organization, would be to create an advocacy group or political action committee. This will be a nonprofit, nonpartisan volunteer group reaching out to business, religious and other nonprofits with an eye on Change in getting things done.

Paid GOTV Canvassing (non-partisan) in Burlington and Mercer Counties 10-28-2009

Hey Guys,

Job opportunities to make a difference and empower citizens to vote in the November 3rd election. We are looking to hire reliable, motivated activists for our aggressive non-partisan Get Out The Vote push. Our goal is to motivate targeted voters to get to the polls and vote. With issues like health care on the table, we know that voters cannot afford to stay home this election day.

Pay $80 per 6-hour shift.    Canvassers have the opportunity to earn $560 in seven days.   We are starting the canvassing next Wednesday, October 28 and will be running the program each day through Election Day November 3, 2009 (two shifts on Election Day).  The neighborhood canvassing will be done in the evening, between 5:00 pm and 9:00 pm (folks will need to arrive to the staging area earlier by 4 and then return for a short debriefing and to return materials at the end of the evening).

Right now, we are looking for canvassers for Willingboro and parts of Burlington and Mercer counties.   We may expand the program to parts of Camden County.

Staging area will be 4202 Route 130 North Suite 7 Willingboro, NJ (the old Obama HQ).

Anyone interested in working on the project should contact David Hopkins (609) 868-2733 or send an e-mail to grassroots4change@gmail.com ASAP no later than this Sunday at 3:00 pm.

Thank you again for all you are already doing. You are the reason we are going to win.
